My third rug tufting video - this time i've included the backing process so you can see how the underside of the rugs are finished. What do you think of the new POV angle whilst using the tufting gun?

Awesome work, suggestion…for your yarn ball winder…Modify the handle to where you can straighten it and fit the end of the handle to a cordless drill. I think that will be faster

Amazing! I don’t know if I’ll ever get into tufting myself, but I’m constantly blown away by how you can just make a rug that I would have assumed had to be store bought.
Just out of curiosity, how much of that black yarn did you use? I think the video showed you rethreading the gun 3 times, so does that mean 6 rolls? Trying to mentally price the rug in my head 😅
Thanks! I think i either used 6 or 8 rolls of black and 2 rolls of white for the text, I buy them from a local shop (more expensive than online tbh) at around £2.30 ($2.75) each. Yarn varies in price a bit but you get what you pay for, I've bought cheaper yarn for around £1.50 ($1.80) online before but you can feel the difference for sure - overall yarn spend on this rug is approx £23 ($27.55).

Nice video bro. I've been wondering.. When using designs like this, aren't there any copyright issues when trying to sell them?
Thanks man! That's a great question... I think there's a very fine line between what you can and can't do. I made this rug for a friend who specifically requested this design, which I don't see a problem with as a one off, but I think a problem would arise if I were making loads to sell, stocking up, advertising them etc enough to get the attention from any big brands. I'm no lawyer though so best do you own research to double check! :)

Thanks for the question! I buy most of my materials and the rug gun from amazon, look in the description of the video for the links and that will give you a good idea of where to start. I buy thick yarn from a local shop and I made the wooden frame at home :) gracias!

100% acrylic, specifically "Stylecraft Special Chunky - Black (1002) - 100g" bought in the UK :)
