Actually, all Olympics since then have tried to base themselves on the 1936 Games. Before that, the Olympics were not taken that seriously. But you can thank Josef Goebbels and Leni Riefenstahl for making the Olympics one big propaganda event.
India went final in a Wrestling event. And she is disqualified after reaching final only because of overweight of 100 gram, in the morning of the final. They purposefully done it to make United States of America winner. United States of America only came first because of that gold.
Unfortunately it would be termed as one of the best and memorable Olympics for Pakistan as our Athlete won Gold for the first time in history.

I agree on Israel and the dutch guy, but people should really read into the principle of Laïcité and how that came about before critisizing the hijab ban. That principle also doesn't allow wearing a kippah for instance, or a big cross. Laïcité is fundamental to understanding modern day France, and in the past two weeks I've heard a hell of a lot of people who are not interested in learning about France, as critisizing is way more easy.
