Once upon a time, when i was a shallow person I cared about my homes design, then I grew up and let my friends and family relax and enjoy my house. I find it much more friendly and pleasurable these days.
thinkin outloud your implication that someone is shallow because they care about the interior design of their home is completely misguided. And arrogant. Design is an art. Art is often beauty. It makes many people feel happy and comfortable. You can have both.
Sadly, our curtains can’t brush the floor because the ppl who built our house love to put floor vents right in front of all the windows. When the curtains are closed, it just blows the curtain around. Really makes them dirty too. So, nope - can’t ever do that. 😕
I have the same problem. I have 84" in length curtains. I purchased a vent cover that redirected the air flow! You can get these in hardware stores in the same section they sell vent covers. I noticed my room cooled off faster, too. The air conditioner isnt pumping the cold air up and behind the curtains. I dont know if this idea would work for curtains that puddle. Edit: I guess some people would not like the look of the plastic piece. It's a clear plastic and not very noticeable imo.
So the consumer would have to purchase panels that are : 96 “ to kiss the floor or 108 “ to puddle . To puddle panels, the fabric must be of good quality; while this length becomes an issue with pets. For those who want to hang curtains from the ceiling or ceiling molding, one should be prepared to spend additional money for longer panels supporting the American consumer mindset . Buy at a fraction of the cost : construction/ painter drop cloths, bleach and hang for the added coverage and substantial weight to puddle while having the esthetic quality of natural fabric . Easier to maintain with pets without dry cleaning costs for each floor length panel!!
Putting a table behind the sofa, with books on it is a stupid design. How are you going to reach and get those items? And, he even says things have to be accessible in the video. Items behind you are not easily accessible.
The purpose of a sofa table is to hide things that you don't necessarily need to reach for on a regular. Also it looks great for large pieces to cascade over the couch. It can also help a bare wall with tall pieces on the sofa table. This is why it's technical name is sofa table. Also it clears the space if the room is small for maneuvering . There isn't anything stupid about saving space, looking clean and neat.
*VSHAH* ................it adds depth...dimension...interest...affords an additional area to accessorize...provides a more inviting space, etc, etc, etc..........
