  • I was trying to plan for this week’s tutorial when I got a request in one of my previous video’s comments asking for something on Vray Camera Setup.
This video will be the first part of a series on setting up your camera using several techniques that you can easily apply for different purposes.
To start any render in Vray, you first need to place a hypothetical camera somewhere in or around your space; so in this video we'll talk about Camera Placement, Height, Angle, Field of View, and Aspect Ratio.

Awesome awesome I love the way you don't go around telling lots of stories you go right to it. I have problems with noise in my renders in Sketchup V-ray 3.4

      Thank you so much!
As for your Noise problem, try setting the Noise Threshold to 0.01 and see if it helps.

I want to make big panorama that
I can enter in different rooms by click
Is it possible to change field of view?

What you're saying is possible if you have multiple panoramic renders (one for each room) and then you can stitch them together in a different application so they become interactive.

      You're welcome :)
Yes, most are on 3Dwarehouse and some others I either model or group together into different objects 😅✌🏻

Hi there. Something I’ve noticed in many renders is that the perspective or camera position seems be impossibly positioned for the size of the space, managing a composition that doesn’t seem achievable in the space which means that the camera would have to effectively be outside the boundaries of the room space, then I noticed in some SketchUp models I downloaded from the warehouse that the modellers create extra floor space beyond the room model to set the camera so that they get more of the room in the composition
What are your thoughts on this? Obviously it doesn’t reflect real life scenario

What you've noticed is quite common yes and a lot of moddlers do create extra floor space to position the camera, especially in long narrow spaces.
If you take a look at the third part of this video, you'll see that I always use Section Cuts to fix that problem, instead of just adding more geometry :)

In Sketchup, what setting is the best for FOV.

    • @Ravenors.academy
      @Ravenors.academy  2 роки тому +1

Between 45 and 65 degrees is the best tbh, it just depends on how wide or narrow the space you're going to be rendering is.
You'll now the FOV value is not the best for your scene when it looks like objects at the edge of your view are "stretched" or when it's too zoomed in to be of any use.
      Hope this was helpful :)
