Wish you guys would research who you feature she's straight up a fraud. the card isn't even available anymore. Their credit building products don't even work.
By focusing on an underserved market, Tomo Credit not only fosters financial inclusion but also paves the way for more equitable access to essential services. 👏
Fantastic!! Well done to TomoCredit and this amazing Founder, so authentic and so on top of their solution to such an important problem. I hope they go global.
Read their trustpilot reviews, fraud company. I am in Canada I have never Heard of this company before but that didn't stop them sending me marketing text message spam and email spam for months and months and months. I've tried everything to unsubscribe yet they still text me at three in the morning regarding their credit services.
I have followed many inspiring individuals in the fintech space for many years now. I must say, Kristy Kim is truly one of the best. Her super power is...Excellence! 🙏🏻
Tomo's CEO, Kristy Kim, embodies the epitome of the American Dream, rising from immigrant roots to establish a groundbreaking company. Their journey is a testament to resilience, determination, and the power of unwavering belief. Through sheer perseverance, Ms. Kim has not only built a thriving business but has also become a beacon of hope for aspiring entrepreneurs worldwide. Their story inspires us to dream big, work hard, and never give up.
Because Spanish is the most spoken language by foreigners in the US, and Tomo means "I take", I thought the TomoCredit name meant "I Take Credit" 12:24
Go to Bank of America they have a system to build your credit, I put $500 dollar and use it and after 2 years they give me my $500 and give me $300 I continued to use the credit card for another year then they raise it to $500 than $1k it took about 3 years to get to $1k and now after 14 years i have credit card with $20k max and i don't want to raise it more and I have credit score 810
Love the ambition of the founder, Ms. Kim! I'm wondering, though, what method the company uses to measure the creditworthiness of a person without a past credit history. Obviously, using the FICO score is out of the question for your business model. What measures (legal or financial) are (or can be) taken for those who default and disappear from the US? Another question is how credible the claim of difficulty in getting a credit card is for foreigners. When I came to the US as a graduate student from Korea, I was able to get a credit card pretty quickly.
Man, to be honest. All previous interviews were great quality and very insightful. But this one feels shitty, the speaker is too boastful about building a website and having customers, but if you dig a bit, those are just blank words

Pure gold. This is a story of a true entrepreneur, who never gave up because what she is building is something that really, really matters to people.
THANK YOU!

Wow! Kristy kim is very inspirational. It is amazing to see young ambitious businesspeople make a difference in people lives.
I never heard of this before but I just have to say this is so awesome to help people who are immigrants! Love this ❤️

Wow! thats super cool. didn't know that
Does she look Spanish to you?
This is awesome, congrats! Would love to hear more about how you acquired the 10k users on day 1

This was a really good watch.
An Apple Watch indeed.
Love her story. I am Mexican, same happened to me. it is hard to get credit as immigrants and banks dont care about us unfortunately

Immigrants rule! 😁
Thanks for the inspiring interview!
Immigrants rock!
cool lady
This is inspiring
No, it is PR stunt , the reality is her company is failing so bad if you study financials of her company

Amazing
The US banking industry indeed has a tendency to be a top-notch problem creator.
US banks don't like immigrants... cool to see immigrants starting a company to fix this. great idea.
😂

She talks about the method starting at 7:40
@@jaaypex thanks, but the method sounded flawed to me.
@@NanheeByrnesPhD what exactly is flawed about it?
This is a PR stunt, truth is tomo is failing startup if you go through their financials ,facts don't care about emotions.
@@QuickNews999 I believe that. I looked at some of their reviews on Reddit earlier today out of curiosity and came across a few sketchy stories.
I wonder if the owner of this channel receives payment from interviewees to be featured on their UA-cam program?
immigrants make amazing entrepreneurs!
I got an email from them saying that the Tomo credit card system is currently suspended for system updates?!?! 😤
When do you expand to Europe? Maybe Poland?
The company is a fraud it won't be around for long
Great business model
1. Network of banks
2. Network of data providers & algorithms
3. Network of regulatory compliance
4. Anti-fraud Tech
5. High changing costs
6. Counter-positioning
7. Branding
Fraud isn't a business model. The card doesn't exist anymore and their new products does not work
@@richardbroo6354 Yeah just researched the regulatory affairs of this company and I think they completely fucked up.
900 Twitter followers and 225k website visitors per month after all these year?
Why does it take so long to report to the 3 major credit bureau
I researched and found some reports about Tomo. It appears that they experienced some legal issues last year.
Also reviews are terrible.
@@firewatermoonsunWoah, wanna expand on that?
It's a massive fraud and the card doesn't even exist anymore
Had a tomo card and it became bricked for no apparent reason. Their customer support sucks, too. Switched to an Amex and couldnt be happier
Please add time stamps. Cant watch 19minute videos if the first few is not catchy enough. So it would be helpful to have time stamps
창업하면은 비자를 주나요 그래서?😅 저도 곧 석사 유학 가는데 궁금하네요

I “love” these stories of success without marketing funds… how these people are found by everybody ? Very odd
Tomo support never responds. I thought the company was dying. lol
They pivoted to acredit builder offering that doesn't report to credit agencies. just fraud on fraud
...next Theranos?
It’s clear by now her entire business is predatory 😂😂. But hey it’s an immigrant so it’s ok.
