I think the reason buying franchises is no longer as hot thing as it is used to is due to the franchisee's own obliviousness. They have bad location and they have not properly identified their target demographics within their area. Franchises like in bubble tea has its cons:
    1. Your creativity is hampered, you are stuck at using an existing set of menu lineup
    2. You cannot simply tweak around your prices as the recipes are templated to get a specific price tag, your costing will get messed up even worse if you are on a bad location.
Comparing DIY vs franchise, I say DIY has less risk, because sure the initial trial and error may be costly but after you finalize your menu it is more manageable to add and remove stuffs, plus if everything went flat, the feeling of loss and sorrow is a bit easier to swallow because buying franchise these days are absolutely overpriced, its ridiculous

I stop going to some Boba shop, came once, never came back because their drinks are either way too sweet, watery or too grainy (they didn't mix it very well)

Do you have tips on how to keep your black tea dispensers cleam amd sanitary? We recently bought a milktea shop and I noticed how poorly maintained the black tea dispenser were. I disassembled the dispensers and evrn disassembled the spigot and lo and behold, there was a lot of black gunk on the silicon valve inside the spigot. I also noticed that while cleaning the inside of the dispensers, the bottom part had a narrow crevice arounf where the wall meets the base of the inner lining of the barrel. This seems to collect tiny tea particles over time and is difficult to clean even with a scale remover or stain remover. Chlorone seems to have removed most of the dark tea stains but not entirely. The top part where the inner wall of the barrel meets the plastic part also has a narrow crevice that goes around. When I rinsed off the inside of the barrel, the water seemed to seep into that crevice and go into the hollow wall where thhe insulating foam is. I tried this also on new barrels I bought which looked exactly like the ones you have on your mango milktea video and it still seeped through that crevice. Soap and old tea that previously seeped in would then slide along the inner walls. If I tilt the dispenser rinse water would rum along the inner walls again.

Wow!!!!! I totally understand your situation. You're not alone. The tea urns, water urns, even shakers can be a secret place for bacteria growth if not taken care of properly. 😭
      So here's a few pointers:
1.) I had a weekly and monthly sheet that the staff had to sign off on after they did the tasks. The person the following day would come in and double check that those tasks were completed that night and sign off on it as well.
2.) Every night the Tea Urn would get emptied and we had a pressure sprayer on the sink tap that we would use it to spray out the inside and also to make sure that no Tea juice was left in the spout. The tea urns would get turned upside down onto a dry rack with the spout open so everything would be air dried out overnight.
3.) Once a week all of the shakers and anything that was on the list would get a hot bleach bath. At the end we would put that bleach water into the tea urns and let it sit as well.
4.) At this point we would take that bleach water, with gloves of course, and using a wooden stick with some blue towel, push it around the inside of the rims and crevices. This helped to prevent that tea gunk buildup and got rid of all of the stains over time as well. The bleach really assists with this step!
5.) Every month the giant hot water boiler urn would be descaled. We would then take the water from that and put it into the tea urns to descale them as well.
6.) Both of the techniques above must be noted that it is very important the inside of these containers are cleaned with clean water very very well thereafter anytime using chemicals. This is one reason why we had the water sprayer on our sink tap, as it works efficiently and effectively to get around the inside of large containers, such as tea urns.
7.) Once every few months we would actually take apart the entire tea urn where the spout is. (We did this once a week at the sample station spouts because we were using an item that had food particles from the powders and syrups and didn't want to take any chance with bacteria.) But for the tea urns once every few weeks worked to make sure that it was completely clear and no gunk was left behind.
8.) And lastly, the other thing that I mentioned above which is important is to make sure that everything is turned upside down overnight on a dry rack that has airflow. This prevents gunky buildup and sediment from settling and allows for less bacteria build up over time as well.
I'm a big proponent of preventative measures as opposed to reactive measures
      😂 Hope this all helps.
You can get those stains out! Don't worry 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

    Heya
Just want to know if there is any alternatives to fructose and for cofee creamer my delivery is late and idk what to do 🥲

    • @BubbleTeaKristin
      @BubbleTeaKristin  Рік тому +1

You could make your own simple syrup.
Start by making a small batch at home. 2 parts sugar to one part water on the stove low heat until all the sugar melts. Use white sugar.
Compare the sweetness to the remaining fructose you have. Keep adding parts white sugar until it tastes similar in sweetness.
For the creamer, you could try finding powdered whole milk. See how it goes in a trial. I never used coffee creamer, but if you are, then you could substitute regular coffee creamer from the store too like Coffee Mate in the US... But for me I couldn't do that because it tastes totally different than my normal bubble tea creamer.
      Hope all that helps 🙏🏼😇😁
