I’m A Virgo is a darkly-comedic fantastical coming-of-age joyride written and directed by Boots Riley (Sorry to Bother You) about Cootie (Emmy-winning actor Jharrel Jerome), a 13-foot-tall young Black man in Oakland, CA. Having grown up hidden away, passing time on a diet of comic books and TV shows, he escapes to experience the beauty and contradictions of the real world. He forms friendships, finds love, navigates awkward situations, and encounters his idol, the real life superhero named The Hero, played by Walton Goggins. I’m A Virgo is a mythical odyssey that questions the purpose of the mythical odyssey. The cast includes Brett Gray, Kara Young, Allius Barnes, Olivia Washington, Mike Epps, and Carmen Ejogo.

I just finished watching this show tonight. It was so good. I teach "intro to sociology" and I am thinking of ways I can incorporate this into my class.
I wish you were my teacher in school
*spoler alert for anyone else reading this* but I think the sequence in the last episode where Jones explains how capitalism necessitates violence and poverty is *sooooo crucial* and great for anybody to watch, especially your students!
Freaking amazing show across the board; really enjoyed the hell out of it and I wish nothing but the best success to the team
can't wait for this. i'm so grateful to have worked with all these talented people!
What did you do on/for the show?
boots is really woke man I can’t wait to work with him one day 🖤
As a Virgo, I can't wait to watch this movie. ♍️🇬🇧🙌🙌
People keep calling it a movie. Its a series. A tv show
@@Noise_floorxx it's episode by episode not a chunk of cinema
Agreed!
I immediately watched the whole series since I’m a Virgo! I had never even heard of it. I LOOOOVE Boots Riley. “Sorry to Bother You” was AMAZING and imo not a small movie like the interviewer said. Boots is a genius about the realities of minorities, poor people, capitalism/government, and rich corporations and people taking advantage of them.
It’s a series you will binge for sure.
Fantastic show, thank you Boots and everyone who had a hand in it!
Brilliant writing and directing,. It is delightful, insightful, and one of the most thoughtful comedies around. Like Gulliver's Travels, by Johnathan Swift, it plays with satire, fantasy, and parody. The political, social, literary, and historical parallels are uncanny. Loved it. Where is season 2, and then 3,4, and 5 . . . Thank you.
Innovative, inventive, wild, unlikely, unmakeable, "what?", wow!
Perfect description of the show! :)

The inherent fear of giants is that they can kill you with ease
None of y’all Virgos doe 😤
Sorry, but that movie was not small
“Small movie” was very disrespectful
activist filmmaker... gag
Boots wrote a song about you. He said, "When we start the revolution, all you'll probably do is snitch."
