It's absolutely awesome to see one of these fully built the way Ford SHOULD have done it. I get the Ford doesn't sell a lot of single cab short bed trucks but there ARE quite a few of us that would want one this way. I mean what the hell ever happened to the lightning? And who the hell uses a two seater truck as a work truck!

2021 now gets 8 inch and xlt 301a gets you everything but console push button start even auto climate and digital cluster

They already built it “in their perspective” (the shelby truck) aka “the newer lightning” but damn that price range is way out of most of our leagues!!
I love that you guys did this! It always pisses me off when manufacturers don't allow you to build the vehicle YOU want.
You can tell me assembly line excuses and what not, which is ultimately BS.
The bottom line of why they don't allow you to do this, is because they're able to mark up more options on crew cab and long bed models.
Wow what a sweet truck, you guys amazing job, the perfect truck. The truck Ford should build, and a sweet sounding Gen2 coyote under the hood,,The black looks amazing.

I just hit 151,00 on my 2013 f150 Coyote and I have replaced only a radiator hose and a purge solenoid for repairs.
Excellent job !! Ford should listen to its consumers more. I just bought a 2021 ford ranger xlt lifted with 32s in cactus grey with black interior from the dealer. I couldn't be happier with it. And for an inline turbo 4 cylinder it scoots!
That thing is a freaking badass truck, i love everything about it and with the whipple on it and headers it will not get any more badass than that

Nice!! I want the OEM led headlights, taillights and the 8” instrument cluster. My guess single cabs aren’t loaded because not many people are willing to pay 8k over an xlt sticker
The man built THE perfect truck!❤️ Alex killed it! Iv wanted a regular cab f150 5.0 ever since they came out and was planning on having to try and swap alllll this stuff into one. I'd even take a gen 1 like a 2011 or 12 and build it up for a hot rod and be happy as a fat boy with a turkey sandwich lol

Only thing I would change would be 4wd and then lowered. More launch mo betta
The only thing you cannot get in black from ford parts is the regular cab interior "b pillar" trim where the seatbelt thingy comes out of. The part beside your ear. I took mine off, cleaned it with isopropyl alcohol, put adhesion promoter, then sprayed it with SEM black paint for auto trim.
should take the truck to a dealer and get their reaction on the truck from a sales man when its done. it be a cool video. very nice truck!

How did you get the heated/cooled seats to work? I'm looking at buying a 2020 RCSB with this interior swap and they said those are the only things in the interior that don't work. Also, how did you get the Corsa to work on this, they don't make them for short beds???

I always wished Ford would allow you to spec this type of truck. This would replace my Lightning as a daily.
Love it! Reminds me when I had my 2011 Ram 1500 R/T. But I will always prefer a Gen 2 coyote over the 5.7 Hemi.....
Now just put a supercharger on that engine and add Lightning tags on it all around and hopefully Ford will get the hint lol.

The 2014 f150 tremor was the only single cab short bed that was available with a console shifter it was either an FX2 package or an FX4 package
I love the blackout look, never gets old.
Get a bit a upholstery fabric or leather and some 3M Super 77 to re-cover the wall paneling at the back of the cab. TPMS sensor's not sync-ed up?

You actually could get sync 3 in a single cab up until 2020. In 2019 and 2020 you had to get a XLT RCSB to get sync 3 though. It’s literally identical to my truck though lol except my cluster has red gauge cluster needles. My trucks an 18 though.
You can also add most of that stuff to a RCSB, which I did but I wish Ford did that from the factory but they don’t want to sell RCSB trucks because it hurts their CAFE numbers.
If I ever get rid of my 02 Lightning I'd absolutely yote swap a new single cab 🤤😍

super nice truck Caleb!! reminds me of my 94 first gen lighning. id go throwback\tribute on it and add the first gen lightning decals, and a Vortech supercharger. starting with a 4x4 would be interesting too, lower it with 22s, and front and rear limited slips=awd lightning

Absolutely awesome truck. Damn, I know it makes no sense financially for Ford to build this right now, but oh boy do I wish they would. Idk...I think if they did a run of about 5,000 of them, I bet they would sell them all at a premium.
