It must be so hard losing your best friend. I could just see that after he read the text and talked, he just erupted in tears. I would feel the same way, JJ. Ryan will always be with you, in your heart. All your coaches and teammates will help you out and everyone on your team loves you. I lost my best friend too and it was very hard. So i have been through the same thing that you have been through. But your coaches will always help you out and your teammates too. Always stay positive! I love you so much JJ!
Thanks for posting. Although I was watching this game live, I had no idea about the connection. It’s the one downsides being in the big house. The stadium announcer doesn’t even mention when a new quarterback enters the game much less anything else. When you watch on TV, you do get to learn a lot more backstory about the players. Later in the season, I watched a UNLV game in Las Vegas, and was not aware of it at that point either. JJ is a solid guy and incredibly mature for his age . (Even in high school)
@@pattyice5 honestly that is what I imagined the reasoning was. His 47 yard TD was an amazing way to honor his late childhood friend. unknowingly by him at the time during the game, i love when sports allow moments like that too bring us all a little closer in a way of faith
JJ has a good heart ❤, and in any circumstances God sees that , God Bless you young man, in GOD’s grace may your heart’s desire in good fate come true.
I’m glad that the Vikings got J.J. McCarthy. Though he’s not the biggest, fastest or most talented QB, he’s just got that it factor. It’s like he’s God’s favorite QB and things just go his way. This was one of those things that went his way. A 47 yard touchdown to honor his best friend, who wore #47. You can’t script that.
Rest in peace Ryan condolences to the family

The jab
No matter the reason, it is devastating. No different than any other decision made, the consequences or benefits aren't the same for everyone.
Brainless. Zero respect!
how come jj wasn't able to attend funeral?
He is a division 1 AB who plays across the country
