I'm kinda torn watching this, I mean TBS is one of favorite bands of all time but at the same time I just heard a few songs from The Color Fred and I loved them. So it's hard for me to watch since I like all of these guys.
Taking Back Sunday deserves to hold their current name. Yeah the lineup has changed a lot but there are consistencies amongst the band which are evident in their albums that make each song you hear recognisable as TBS SOUNDWAVE2010!
He's getting thinner, I think the trauma of losing two of his best friends and his fiance just got too much and he drank too much, smoked like a chimney, and as a result got fat and lost his voice. We all have our coping mechanisms. He seems to be on the road to recovery now. Adam adored Fred, don't forget. I wish they'd really make up and hang out instead of semi making up on twitter and continuing to dislike each other.
Eh, Fred wanted to do his own thing. He had different views with songs and so forth, and he chose his own happiness over just being plain successful. To be truthful, I really disliked TBS and their new music right after Fred left. And Adam is too much of a douche bag for me to enjoy them anymore. At least Fred has family value and believe me, I have met him over 8 times and he actually is one of the most sweetest and down to earth people I have talked to.
New Again took years to grow on me and it's still really hard to listen to sometimes because most of the songs are about either Chantelle, Fred and Adam's vices. I have to say though, I love Capital M-E and Sink Into Me, and Everything Must Go is just phenomenal.. the Orensanz version makes me tear up. Oh how I will we could go back to 2006. WYWTB and LN were incredible, and Adam was just gorgeous. An absolute lady killer. He must have been fighting them off back then!
i like him well enough. they made a good choice in picking their replacement. i was a little nervous about how far his talent would stretch but he has a good voice and is pretty good with his guitar. i'm excited to see how else he influences them in the future =)

Once Fred left album sales went so downhill that Taking Back Sunday is fighting so hard to stay relevant. Once they lost one of the best composers the band had everything went downhill. Numbers speak volumes!

He said a big reason he left was Adam never wanted to practice. Was a great lyricist just lazy and it shows for sure. They were on of my favorite bands and I still like listening to them just wouldn't pay to see a show in 2021. Now the Color Fred I would go see agai. Fred put on a great small club performance and is a real down to earth dude!
You hit it right on the head. The new TBS stuff without Fred just doesn't have the same feel that it used to. The one thing I always loved about TBS was the back and forth between Fred and Adam, and its just not there anymore ( Decade Under the Influence or This Photograph is Proof shows this so well ) And yeah Fred's solo stuff is meh at best.

I think when he said that he wasn't saying it, it in the way you're thinking. Maybe it was more to not actually mention his name to not create more problems.... and I also think it was more into 'people will understand what he [Fred] meant by his own comment' Ether way I think everyone should really just give this a rest because Fred and TBS are all great musicians, and I'm sure they will all be making great music. So really good luck to TBS and Fred in there careers.

The TBS line up for their album "Tell all your friends" was the best in my opinion. That is still their best CD.From what I hear,Adam is sort of tough to work with because he is kind of crazy.I don't know for sure because I do not personally know the guys,I am just speaking from things I have heard and read from various sources.But being in a band,being around the same guys,day in and day out, for an extended period of time,is probably one of the more difficult things in life to make work
adam and mark are some of the old guys too. they weren't there at the very start, but they were there before the band got big and before they produced a major album.

im not gonna lie, louder now was allot better than new again. plain and simple. but thats not saying much i mean, louder now was and is my favorite CD of all time, its just so f*cking amazing. new again had allot of good tracks tho, i liked pretty much all of them, i loved a few of the, carpathia, SWING and new again were all really kick ass. i miss freddy mascherino but fazzi's great too, he's funny shit i have the new again dvd i got it the 1st day it came out :P

I just started listening to these guys. I can't imagine that they could make a better album than New Again. Matts basslines are perfect, grooving but never too busy. He could be playing in any of the nastiest jazz fusion bands out there, like SCHLEIGHO! In my opinion, he's a major part of what gives this album it's edge. I hate to read that the longtime fans were dissappointed in this effort. Maybe, grow with the band, maybe??

After reading the tell all oral history of tbs in the ALT Press magazine, I get the feel that Matt was more on Fred's side the whole time and was extremely unhappy during his remaining years in TBS. I would imagine that Matt is pretty uncomfortable in this video.
In my opinion this band had and has great members, which one the poeple prefer is a totally different thing. But as for me, without Nolan there wouldn't be Cute Without The E and other great songs and I think same wise bout fred. Fazzi and the time beyond is gonna prove what he's made of!
