Andrea Crouch -- LOVE this. Want to make these for backyard planters - real plants. Looked everywhere. Can you show how you made the handles? Can you make even bigger!? Love the bright colors best. Ooops! found the post about the handles!! Ignore that part!
Thanks! This ended up being absolutely spectacular on stage we had about 40 of all colors and sizes in a huge dance production. Let me know if you need help👍🏻
I like both sizes. The pink ones I would leave like they are but maybe make white polka dots on them. The brown one I would paint it white. Maybe paint simple flowers on them or use plain. How did you make the handles?
The handles are Styrofoam hearts that I cut in half and hot glued on to the pots. Had to shave each end of the heart to fit the side of the pot but it doesn’t have to be perfect because it melts quite a bit and shapes well. Thanks
Jennifer Cornell Hi J, hearts at hobby lobby, Michaels even Walmart sometimes. If you are referring to the base of giant teapot dispenser, the ones I purchased at Walmart actually just screwed off. How easy is that?!
These are stunning! Do you recall the size of the big plastic pot? I’m a photographer + my son’s first birthday is the day after Christmas so I’m planning on doing a shoot with one and making it like a hot chocolate mug he’s sitting in :)
Gosh, I'm not sure probably 18 - 24 inches across. Go check them out at lowes or home depot. The styles have changed over the last couple of years but still super similar. With Christmas up at the stores I dont know where they will be but outside for sure. They are usually on their own display tree with all colors. Good luck. Let me know if you need help! A.
Where did you get that hot pink planter, I can’t find anything like it anywhere? And I have heard you say HGB, but only can find some vintage home boutique- not a place I think you would find several plastic planters. Please help:)
I got them at Lowes garden center outside on a display tree. They still had them last year but slightly different colors. You do have to saw the rims off of the top. I think Home Depot has them as well! I'm so sorry I don't have pics of the finished products on set! They were awesome. you can text or facetime me if you have questions building them. 801-554-1348
Hi. I posted another video illustrating the teapot I made with the same handles. The handles are Styrofoam heart wreaths that I simply break in half and then trim with a very sharp knife to fit the main shape. I use hot glue to attach and it works great. by them at hobby lobby or michaels. The teapot is obviously more fragile and awkward than the cups if you are using it on a set. Send me your email if you want to see the primer painted finished product. andrea@sharpr.com thanks! A.

I'm sorry. I do not. Good luck! Get a sharp paring knife and hot glue gun. I think if you read through the comments I've added instruction. The handles are styrofoam hearts snapped in half and I cut to fit from walmart or any craft store then hot glued onto cup!
I’m so sorry. I don’t make them for distribution. I just did them for one production a few years ago. I wish there was some place you could buy them done because people use them for a lot of things!
Thank you for replying. Maybe I can make my own if you don’t mind telling me where u bought the items and everything you used my email is shardaymccollough@gmail.com .... I got a inquiry about a giant teacup photo shoot with a little baby so I’m just trying to do them

Walmart or Hobby lobby buy a Styrofoam heart and cut it in half and trim further to connect to your cup. I have another video on that. I’ll see if I can find it for you.
ua-cam.com/video/w_kDwvOTuIc/v-deo.htmlsi=79eUn9x9MvGYd-Nh This shows the Styrofoam hearts cut a little bit better so you can imagine how to do it. I used hot glue to put them on. It melts the Styrofoam, but it works just great and hold very well.
