When I’m out and dressed nice looking good ppl holding doors, speaking , smiling and even asking if I need help getting stuff off shelves in stores ect. ❤
Thank you, Maya, for reiterating that your appearance does matter. I got in a rut and didn't feel like myself after going through chemotherapy. I used to get dressed and go out and people would ask where did you get your outfit from, it's so pretty. I'm telling you when depression set in, honey it set in! After 5 years of cancer treatment, I am finally getting back to me. Watching your vlogs gives me a sense of calm and lets me know its ok to have bad days, just don't stay in those bad days. As I've gotten older my style of dress has definitely changed. My aesthetic has always been classy and natural.🥰

I clicked for one reason and got so much more. I fell off big time I used to care more, shop more and put effort into my appearance. I found myself wearing the same sweat pants to run errands utterly ridiculous. But I’m finding my way back 🙌🏾. Appearance makes decisions for you whether we believe or not!
Loved this video! I’m a neutral capsule wardrobe girly too. I like a clean, tailored look so I invest in my clothing and only buy high quality fabrics (cotton,linen, silk,wool, leather, cashmere, etc). The best part is, they’ll last a lifetime and will never go out of style.
Hire an organizer. I’m just like you. My organizer donated an unbelievable amount of my stuff. It was all in fabulous shape, because I had too much to go through in a year. I didn’t wear outfits often. But I was tired of seeing the stuff😂 Then i would buy something new. The organizer will help you face reality. Donating really quality stuff was so satisfying to my spirit❤

Getting dressed and making sure i enjoy my appearance is key to my mental health, if I’m not “into it” it’s my first check that i need to tap back into myself. I’m especially diligent in colder weather bc i have seasonal depression, i don’t get my nails or hair done in warmer months but my appointments are BOOKED UP in the winter. Also agree with finding ur uniform and ur look, playing with it, but keeping ur fly timeless is key to being and feeling like a baddie.
This is one of the reasons why i follow you , you fit my vibe, you have my whole aesthetic. I’ve been changing my wardrobe. I’ve always loved white, earth tones & black .
