As a long term silent subscriber,I noticed her asking not only her family but even the ex if he liked something. It can be hair, outfit and all. You have to like it yourself Maya,it doesn't matter who likes it or not as long you feel good about how you look that's enough. I know as women we tend to bury things and just push through. It's not healthy to say the least. I decided to go to therapy to unpack all of it and be my best self. I've been in therapy for over three years now and can honestly say that a lot of what I do is a response to trauma and triggers. In my past relationships, I would shut them out and shut down and I never understood why I did that but it was because my mom did it with my dad and I internalized that. Now that I am aware, I force myself to move past the things that are not the best about me so I can grow.

Maya this is a Excellent video! This really spoke to me in this way , that God is Sovereign and I have to let God be God, and it's not for me to try to fit it. I need to truly trust him to do what he wants to do when he and how he wants to do it. I get overwhelmed and anxiety comes every time I try to help in grown folk situations. I could go on and on. May God continue to strengthen you. I'm so proud of you. I'm praying daily for you and your family.
