    Mistakes happen, I’m glad you showed fixing it! 👍👍I like my coffee machine, electric kettle, air fryer and toaster. These are on my counters. I have a magic bullet, electric rice cooker, mixer, GF grill, ice cream maker, crockpot, pressure cooker and electric popcorn maker but these are either in the pantry or in a cupboard. I like kitchen gadgets! 😁😁 Enjoy the rest of the weekend! 👍😁🇨🇦

    Never made this particular mistake, but I have made plenty of other mistakes! On my last project, I measured wrong on an EPDM rubber roof I was putting in. The fix actually made it more water tight -- but took an extra day to fix. Glad you showed your mistake. I do the same on my channel. I don't even want to watch channels that hide mistakes in order to appear better than the really are. Good work, glad you got it done correct in the end! 👍👍👍

    Better found and fixed before flooring is installed. My grandad did the same thing in his house about 1948, when he added a new kitchen and installed an inside bath. It stayed that way(hot and cold reversed on the sink) until 1991 when the commode was replaced. Then, for months after, I finally remembered to turn the right knob.

    I love my electric pressure cooker, I have had it for years now. Most people today are buying Instant Pots, same thing I believe. I make chicken, potatoes and carrots for a whole meal, cook dried beans, pot roast with potatoes and carrots, chili and sometimes add beans. Those are my go to meals. The ideas are endless. I have given away my crock pot, no need for it anymore. Why wait hours and hours when in 1 hour you can have everything cooked and extremely tender meat from cheap cuts? I must admit I am a gadget person, love them!! I have everything you can imagine and cook with them all the time, why? Because I can and it makes me happy! Each to their own, Right? Home is looking great, love watching you guys.

    My two favourite appliances are my air fryer and my insta pot. I use these two things all the time. One cooks my dinner every night. I am not big on appliances or gadgets but I do love these two items. I make stir fries and casseroles in my insta pot and also cook my meat. My air fryer cooks most of my vegetables nice and quick. I also cook my small meat pies in it, my chicken snitzel and warm up foods too.

    A shiny chrome toastmaster 2 slice toaster from 1954. It was my Grandmothers. It toasts, and when finished, pops up, but the heating element stays on to a low setting, and keeps the toast warm, until you are ready to lift it out, and butter it. The new ones toast, but If you don’t grab it right away, its never warm enough to butter up and eat. Great video. Thanks for the tips. 👍

    • @lichub
      @lichub 5 років тому +1

      Have a Toast-o-lator from the fifties, it has a conveyor that inches the toast through the toaster and dumps it on a plate at the other end. Changed the nichrome heating element years ago, still works like a charm.

    Next time wrap piece of red or blue tape around the relevant pipes sam , that makes it simple to keep your lines right . Thats what I used to do . Easy mistake to make when using grey piping . . You got it corrected thats it done and dusted . I wont have a deep fryer in a kitchen , they leave greasy film on worktops an walls , terrible greasy vapours really annoying . . Keep up the excellent work guys . .

      Blue (cold) or red (for hot) duct tape, (cut little strip for end of) $1 at Dollar store. I'm about to fall through my bathroom floor in my 1987 mobile home. How thick are the boards,1/2 inch, (5/8") (??) are you using particle board? I want to install one of those iron supports under the toilet. Will watch your video on bathroom. Haven't got there yet. I just got an air fryer. We'll see if it's counter- worthy

    I LOVE my toaster over! Even though I have double ovens, I, along with the rest of my family, use the toaster oven all the time. Heats up faster than my ovens and doesn’t warm up the whole house, which is a blessing during out hot 🥵 Texas summers. Just got an electric kettle and have been using it everyday, so I’d say it’s another “necessity”.

  • @RumMonkeyable
    @RumMonkeyable 5 років тому

    My kitchen gadgets aren't that numerous, and the ones I have are stored away.....it sorta drives me nutz to have the counter cluttered. So, here's the list of 'just gotta haves": electric kettle, food processor, emulsifier, electric mixer (hand-held) and a toaster/oven (which is on a counter to the side of the kitchen). P.S. Nice save on the hot/cold water switch-over/switch-back. Thank goodness you did this before you installed your new floor! 😨😜😄❤️️

    I think the gadgets we like are our toaster , microwave,kettle and a liquidiser. thats about it . we do use our hob and oven mostly . The toaster is only used by my husband when he gets up for his breakfast and makes toast for his boiled egg. then it is returned to the cupboard . I dont like too many things on the benches .all we have on our kitchen bench is the kettle . the rest is clear . Our bench tops are dark brown granite .everything is integrated so you cannot see any of the white goods too. Our backsplashes are glass so no constant cleaning of tile grout or tiles. They just get a good clean down with a microfibre cloth and white vinegar.

    Good job, I just replaced all our plumbing with pex, great stuff. Years ago we had a shallow well and handpump.When we got rich and famous Cl;-(p) NOT! We bought a house with indoor plumbing, my Mom wanted to move tha kitchen frum tha dining room to tha kitchen.I crawled under tha house with a pipe wrench and a hammer and screwdrtiver.Tha plumbing was all galvanized pipe.I took tha one end loose frum tha downtubes and swung tha whole pipe around to tha new location.where they landed with a little bending ,was where tha sink got placed haha.Anyhoo I was just a kid and real proud I had done tha job and never had to buy nothing (we shore wernt no where near rich haha) Anyhoo turned tha water on no leaks, really feeling proud at that point .Dad came home said hot suppose to be on tha left but who cares Good job Buddy.That was 50+years ago I wonder iffn its still that way, I hope so haha like yalls show rememinds me of me when I was young. Good luck BLESSINGS to you and yours

    My favorite kitchen tool is an actual metal tined Afro comb I bought at Sally's Beauty for under $4.00. It makes slicing onions a breeze with no tears shed. I peel the onion, slice in half, tick the comb through it and slice between the tines. Then if want it fine chopped I go the opposite direction, never removing the comb and I get perfect diced onion in seconds. Farberwear also sells one now and I picked that up at an Amazing Savings for only $1.99. I stocked up and gave some to friends and family, of course they love the ease and use it for other vegetables, too. I just do onions.
