- GH: Acoustic & Electric Guitars & Processing (August 2022)
It's been quite a long time since I recorded anything new new using my guitars after doing a bunch of 'quickie' pieces using PC-based 'Virtual' instruments.
So here is my latest, finally.
Recorded mostly the evening before I was to go into surgery, I was hoping that I would get to finish it. I shouldn't have been too concerned and I did manage to finish it just 3 days after the surgery. I could have completed it even sooner if I hadn't been so lazy!
Once again you wrote a very touching track Gary. I really dig how you overlaid the electric parts against the acoustic. Also how you faded them out early before heading into the atmospheric middle to the night sky. The last three minutes sound amazing with headphones. Way to go brother Gary. Way to go!~

Thanks so much brother! Thanks as always for tuning in and your comments. I hope you're enjoying the rest of your summer! Now i'm going to have to try this with headphones myself, thanks for the tip... Hope all is going great with you....
Lovely evocative piece, G. And great how this was created on either side of the surgery. Can feel the poignancy here. Great stuff, and a very pleasant surprise and piece to close the evening with. 🙂. Shall catch up soon. 😸🐈⬛
Thanks so much buddy. With your work schedule I expected it would be several days before you even caught this! Thanks for the comment as always. Hope you get some down time soon buddy!
WOW!!! This one really took me away.....🙏
Thanks so much buddy. Great to hear from you again, I appreciate the nice comment. I hope you're doing well!!!

Yet another very serene and beautifully crafted piece of music Gary which has very calming and healing tones, like a musical ASMR. I love the way the lazy, mellow guitar tones segue into the breezy, wavering flute/oboe-esque & synth sounding dream drift. So soothing! Thanks for sharing buddy. Your visionary soundscape talents are much appreciated. I wish you the best on a quick heal up following your operation! ~Jeff
Thanks buddy! Appreciate you checking it out-as always-and your kind comments!
Very nice piece Gary. I love how it starts out with some guitar, and then about midway thru switches over to keyboards. I love the background too the way you made it fade in and out with the stars. Well done!
Thanks buddy. Actually it's all guitars. The 'keyboard' sounds come from electric guitar and are processed by various software effects, giving it that keyboard feel. Thanks so much for checking it out!
@@cosmicpickle6562 Sure fooled me. ;-) Glad the surgery came out okay, and you are back on the mend. I just haven't talked to you as I wanted you to recuperate.
@@culturefan Yes, well the wonders of modern software 'effects'. I would have guessed as well that it were a keyboard if I hadn't created it myself. Thanks buddy-on the mend, just have a few stitches and a sore spot and that's about it at this point....
