The “Nip Tip” has been mind blowing for me recently! I restarted Tretinoin about a month ago, and I’ve always had little bumps on my chest. About twice a week, I bring my Tret all the way down to the nips, and it’s made a huge difference!!
I don't wash my skin in the morning anymore at all. Sometimes I splash my face with water, but I tend to start with a mist or essence and go on. Love it, and it helps my skin so much.
One game changer that has improved my skin, is every other night, I’ll layer an occlusive after my moisturizer or thick serum! I’ve been using La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5. And I wake up with the most beautiful skin! Plump, hydrated, soothed! & I have oily skin. So I find it doesn’t clog my pores & helps get rid of any redness. It’s a good alternative, & to the people who don’t like the texture of petroleum on their face.
I am 50 years old ….. I hate to say this but full disclosure I just started getting serious about a routine.. always took care but really did my diligence this past two years.. 90% from your channel,,, double cleanse..what not to do adding anything to sunscreen .. no makeup wipes so thank you !!!
Putting on my skincare products while my face is still damp from the previous product has changed my skin! Increased hydration and results :). Also, implementing ONE new product at once and giving it at least one month without changing anything else in my routine has helped me to hone into the needs of my skin and reduced the overall amount of products I use :)
I struggled with moderate acne and sensitive skin since I was 13 and I have always cleansed in the morning and night. I was very oily and felt like I couldn't do anything about it. I noticed that my face was looking so dry this past winter, so I decided to try not washing my face in the morning and just splashing with water. I noticed a MAJOR difference. It felt so wrong not to cleanse my face in the morning, but my skin looks so much more hydrated and my makeup longevity is better. Doing that step, as well as using the Naturium Plant Ceramide Moisturizer and Cerave retinol at night has been a game-changer. I keep it very simple, which helps my sensitive skin. I almost never break out anymore and I never thought that was possible! Thank you so much for making these videos and educating me. It's been a huge help!
I agree w this list. Cleansing, retinol, niacinamide, and silk pillow case transformed my skin. I have extremely sensitive skin and I realized that I have to be careful of the products I use in my hair and on the rest of my body. If I use the wrong thing my whole forehead and cheeks will break out. I stay away from any hair product with coconut oil (which is hard when you have curly hair!)
The Naturium retinol is amazing, I can see the changes immediately the next day! I’ve tried prescription retinoids so many times and cannot handle the side effects, but the Naturium retinol doesn’t cause the same irritation 🙌
Its been about a year since I started double cleansing nightly (thanks to you) and it has 1000% changed everything for me.. also moisturizing on damp skin! Thank you for all the informative videos 😊
Doing your skin care hours before going to bed has really helped cause before i did it right before bed, and since i move a lot when i sleep, my skin had no time to absorbe it, it all went to my pillowcase
When applying eye creams, lower your chin and look up with your eyes without moving your head. Hold this position while lightly tapping your eye cream into your lower lid area. Be especially mindful of the fine lines and wrinkles here. This position allows for you to apply the eye cream/product directly into your fine lines without tugging at your skin in an unnatural way. When I first started using retinol at 27, this tip was given to me. I have done this every day for 10 years and I swear I still look 27!
I would add some pillow techniques like not sleeping on your face and frequently changing your pillowcase as gamechangers to me in terms of keeping my skin clear and slowing the aging process.
I agree a lot of people are always claiming x product doesn’t work/ made them break out. But it could be other factors and not the product. Are you using too many new products at once? Are you washing your makeup brushes ? Unfortunately it’s not so easy to know the real reason your face is breaking out. So many factors!
Thank you so much Susan. Since I discovered this channel 2 years ago, my skin changed for the better and I started putting sunscreen too and realize the importance of it for my African skin 😅
The only time I don’t use a cleanser in the morning is in the winter, I find it helps with the winter dryness but once the warmer weather comes then I start using a gentle cleanser in the morning and follow up with skin care and moisturizer, I definitely think I’m going to start the double cleanse once I start wearing makeup more
One thing I stopped doing and saw vast improvement in my skin (bare in mind I have normal skin): I used to use a physical exfoliator (cleanser with manuca honey from H&B) every other morning. I used to think it made my skin really soft but what it did it made it really sensitive and it looked very tired and dull during the day. Now, I only use a good (non soapy) gentle cleanser every single day, 100% every single night and some mornings if I feel like I need it.
Thank you SO much for all your knowledge that you share. I have to admit that I am 36 and never had a consistent skin care routine until about 6 months ago. I found you through Nikki La Rose and am so grateful I did. You have really helped me. I now double cleanse and so much more thanks to your help. Ty 💜🤍
I agree with all of these. I share the same advice with my clients & they tell me they are game changers cuz they really are especially double cleansing at night & not cleansing again in the morning. Makes such a difference 😉✨💫 P.S. oh & definitely no makeup wipes 🙄
Can you please do a video on affordable sunscreens for sensitive skin under $15? I haven't had such a great experience with sunscreens (breakouts, irration), so I'm nervous to try a new one.
I’ve read some blogs from chemists and dermatologist that using oil based balm for first cleanse is actually not that great. They recommend micellar water for the first cleanse followed by a gentle non-foaming cleanser. That’s what I’ve been doing the past two years and it’s been working well for my skin.
If it works for your skin, that’s great! I think derms are sometimes concerned about their patients using products wrong, so I can understand the concern. That said, oil-based cleansers have come a long way. The two NATURIUM oil-based cleansers have oils that are great for people with oily skin!
I stopped washing my face in the morning and used micellar water then follow up with my skincare I was so scared bc my skin is dry and acne prone but it was the best decision ever!
Thank you so much for all of your videos. They have helped me with my skin tremendously! I’m struggling to find my 3 year old daughter a sunscreen that doesn’t dry her skin. What would you suggest?
To the tip about not waiting for your skin to be dry to apply the next product, the only question I have is about products where the label says to apply to “cleansed and dry skin” I never know what to do with this 😅
Can you please make a video on how long your skin products last? Bc sometimes I might buy a many of, let’s say 5 bottles of sunscreen, and then a year later I still have them. Are they still good after a year or should I buy new ones?
Hi! The gold standard is tretinoin, but I recommend sticking with what your skin will tolerate best. For instance, I prefer retinol because I can tolerate using it nightly, so I’m more committed to it. I add tretinoin to my routine here and there, but I can’t deal with the irritation I get from it. It’s all very personal.
Depends on how water resistant or difficult to remove your sunscreen is. Or how effective your cleanse is. My daily sunscreen comes off with one cleanse.
I was using a retinoid before I became pregnant, is there an ingredient and product/s that act in a similar way that I can use during this pregnancy? also love this channel thank you xx
Most mornings I feel the products from last might still "active" so zero wishing my face. I use a milk midmorning when I start sweating and dont feel clean anymore.
Thanks for the tips! Just wondering if serums and moisturizers would still work in the morning even if you don't use a cleanser. I may be over exfoliating since I have already cleansed the night before (cleanser, niacinamide serum, moisturizer, adapalene) but I use a salicylic acid cleanser in the morning along with vit C serum, moisturizer, and sunscreen.
I started using the Azeliac acid 10% and have little white bumps along my jawline and chin. Not whiteheads. They aren’t painful and only noticeable up close. Is this normal? Does it go away? I do cleanser, essence, azeliac acid and moisturizer at night. No actives or complicated ingredients
Hey Susan i recently purchase your two products. One is Naturium Alpha Arbutin Serum and other is Naturium Niacinamide 5% moisturizer. Please tell me in morning i use naicinamide moisturizer and sunscreen and in PM after double cleansing i use Alpha Arbutin Serum and then niacinamide moisturizer. Is it good or not.
I have a question, I just introduced Growth Factors in my skin care but confused about order to apply. Does it go before or after tretinoin or does it matter ?
yes to both, HA is just a hydrator to keep everything plump and retinol to 'tighten'. There are a lot of body lotions that have a retinol derivative in it now if you want to use a separate product
I honestly find every single active product breaks me out even at the smallest percentage. I’m so desperate to get retinol into my skincare along with an aha but my skin hates everything I’ve tried. I started using versed overnight peel (0.01 retinyl palmitate) a couple of weeks back and that’s broke me out. I also brought their retinol but haven’t started it yet. Would you recommend giving it another couple of weeks with the peel? Or just give it up and start the retinol 🤦🏻♀️ Would love your opinion 🥰
@@zoe-nicole2700 My dry rosacea prone skin loved Versed Press Restart retinol. It made my skin feel really smooth. I just started to incorporate Paulas Choice retinol and bakuchiol which has stronger percentages than the Versed. If you have the Versed, try it, it’s a great place to start...you can always move to something stronger later.
Question! I’m currently nursing and I’ve read such mixed information about rather or not I can use retinal. I’m ready to use it again now that I’m not pregnant but should I wait until I’m done nursing?!? Help!
I think it’s a personal decision. I went ahead and started using retinoid while breastfeeding because there didn’t seem to be evidence of it harming my child. Speak to your doctor if you’re unsure!
I love following you, but could you please review more cruelty free products? If you and many others realized the torture of animals for make up and skin care you would probably never use them again.

Don't apply your chemical exfoliants, retinol and sunscreen to damp skin, everything else is fine.
A lot of the time the labels over-simply the instructions because they have to assume people don’t know anything about their product.
