flying with my dog, winter views, low and over, oil change

winter just seems to be getting weirder, and the winter flying is certainly being affected.
this warm spell allowed me to take Milo with me on this short flight. we went to a local airport to see how things were doing there.
I love the stinson and how forgiving it can be, as well as how simple some aspects of it are. oil changes are super easy, even if they have to be done every 25 hours

@@flyingedenMy 21y/o daughter is about to head to Toronto to do a uni semester exchange. That will be an awesome contrast from uni life in Australia. (My eldest daughter did volunteer camp work near Vancouver and loved it.) I have an A*. Shout out if you’re in Oz.

Eden, a good upgrade for your Stinson would be a Scott 3200 tailwheel. They are now sold by Alaska BushWheels. Pricey, but you can find good used ones eBay and Alaska Bush has rebuild kits for them. The big heavy tail on the dash 3 appreciates the Scott t/w.

They are! But I don't plan on being here long term, so I don't want to build one... also the costs 😬
