Citylife is a redevelopment project of an old cemented exhibition center. In its place, now there is a business center with luxury residences and the second park by size of the city of Milan. It is certainly a clear and objective improvement. Thanks for the comment

Contemporary architecture breaks most of these laws, not all the laws and at different degrees but systematically.
We disagree because the canons of beauty are changeable in the century and in the culture. It cannot be said that beauty is a mathematical science because it does not have the foundations of objectivity. Thanks

Of course there’s also some subjectivity, but globally people have similar tastes. Because desire is instinctive and the results of millions of years of evolution. We like harmony of colors and forms and complexity. This is why Paris is the most visited city on earth. For its “old dilapidated buildings”. Contemporary art and architecture have been trying to deny the reality and objectivity of Beauty. But I optimistic and think that our sense of aesthetic will progressively comes back. And we will look back at « modern » architecture and art with shame.

The project of development of Citylife quarter is still on going. In this moment new offices by BIG, residential blocks by Libeskind and the final part of the park are under construction. We'll see when the work is completed.
