    Just put on my lap3 and plugs. Your video helped out a lot. The chip works well, she is a beast now.

      Thanks bud... hopefully the track will be open tomorrow (Easter egg hunt at the race track tomorrow for the kids) and we can get new results with the plugs and PNP tuner.

    wow what's going on with the speedo after the run, why does it drop so quickly and jump around?

    • @TorkMotorsports
      @TorkMotorsports  2 роки тому

      The dyno is only running on the rear axle... so the front wheel speed sensors are making the speedometer act a little weird.

    Why does your Speedo move down sometimes 20 to 30 it goes to 20 and then jumps back up to 30

    • @TorkMotorsports
      @TorkMotorsports  3 роки тому +3

      Dyno and front and rear speed sensors are arguing in the ABS module.

    Is this a generic PNP tuner that "You" program it or is it per-programmed like "Race Chip" that you're bundling it.
    This is a true R&D shop! I bet you have happy customers.

    • @TorkMotorsports
      @TorkMotorsports  6 років тому +1

      We have not released the video on the PNP tuner, but its is a LAP3 tuner, and yes you can change the programming inside of it, we currently have it set to 91 octane tune. We have plans on running more of the PNP chips and finding out which one is better (or which one works without breaking up under full throttle).
      We do have a lot of happy customers, and we believe you should R&D everything before you offer it to your customer!!!

    • @BenHayat
      @BenHayat 6 років тому +1

      Great engineering attitude!
      Any plans to see how "Race Chip" will respond to your "Hardware" upgrades? Since their tune is mainly for stock hardware and is kind of pricey.

    • @TorkMotorsports
      @TorkMotorsports  6 років тому +2

      I have asked them if they want us to put it on the dyno and do some testing. I have not heard back, but hopefully they send something, and we can post those results.

      are you worried about the warranty at all? I suppose you are a great engineer yourself but I want to get the Stinger, and tune it obviously, but I assume its not worth doing so for average consumers, so im thinking i just wait until these cars hit used market and pick one up

    • @BenHayat
      @BenHayat 6 років тому +1

      Brian, Moding is like a drug addiction that you always say "This is my last hit" :-)
      But the journey is very rewarding, especially if you use common scenes and proper methodology.
      Stinger is on my radar, and that's why I ask John questions to formulate my direction, if I buy Stinger. Very likely, I will by my kit from John as I've gained trust in his style of things. He doesn't shoot from the hip... LOL

  • @scottc78

    Do you feel the upgraded intercooler is providing much benefit on the dyno? Wasn't sure if that was more for real world benefit, or if the factory one was restrictive in some way.

    • @TorkMotorsports
      @TorkMotorsports  6 років тому

      I really want to see something in the 11's. We are going to have an issue with launching the car, so we will see what happens when that time comes. Hopefully, we have a better rear tire on the car, and we can really make some progress with the 60ft times. A solid 1.6 to 1.7 60 ft, would net us a 12.0 to 12.1 pass. Now add that we have added another 50 to 70 WHP to the car, and we might have a possible 11.5 to 11.6 in the car. If the car gods allow us good weather, we shall see!

    Are you dyno-ing the car in its 1:1 gear ratio? (5th gear) that matters the most when getting accurate dyno numbers

    Nice vids, is there a way to increase HP without avoiding warranty?

    • @TorkMotorsports
      @TorkMotorsports  6 років тому +3

      Honestly... any of these mods should be safe for warranty use, but it comes down to your particular dealer what the think may cause warranty issues. If I had to guess, 450 to 500 WHP will be possible with proper mods and last the lifetime of the car.

    • @petelupi
      @petelupi 5 років тому +3

      In the USA: Aftermarket modifications DO NOT void vehicle warranty. The warranty could be void IF the manufacturer can prove that the modification caused failure of their components. This requires engineers to research and prove beyond any reasonable doubt that the modification caused component failure. You can safely mod away. I always mod my cars and I've never had the dealership question a single mod; they are usually just impressed.

    Why is your speedometer going bonkers

    • @TorkMotorsports
      @TorkMotorsports  6 років тому +4

      When we are on the dyno, the front wheels are not spinning. Thus, the speedometer freaks out from time to time when we are dyno testing.

    Questions are u going to run it on the 93 set up to see if the blowout stop at high rpm. And see how much it will gain? Keep me posted

    • @TorkMotorsports
      @TorkMotorsports  6 років тому

      miguel perez we have already ran the 93 octane tune, and we are still suffering from some ECU limits. We are going to try some race fuel, and ECU reset next time we go to the 1/4 mile. I will post the results from that day.
