When you're stuck - YOU'RE STUCK. Whether his actions towards her are strictly professional or maybe personal - I'm thinking by the pissed off look on his face when he realized she more or less used him it's a mix of both - remains to be seen in the remaining 4 episodes.

Ikr he genuinely had feelings for her.I got so pissed when she shot him.I mean think about it,he cut corners in that life/business for her,let her pass a helluva buncha times,when she screwed him over,and even helped her, when we all know she sure as hell should've been dead for the wrongs she did to him,AND he stayed to cuddle afterwards....Then she shoots him.Ughh I honestly didnt like her the entire series.So naive just as Rio said she was.He had mad respect,chemistry and Love for her.She and everyone else including the description of the next episode says something about her "processing the guilt after Rio's Death"But I really hope he isnt for sure dead.That there ends up being a time span in the show then he makes his return after being locked away or out of the country for so long.This is one of the only shows I'm rooting for the bad guys.That the power couple of Rio and Beth continue on.Even if it dont though it's all good.But this will prob be like every other show/movie.That they bring Beth and Her Husband back together,where her,Dean and their kids go on to live a Happy life.🤷♀️

The lack of music was a rather bold choice. I have literally never seen a single romance/love scene without there being some sort of music playing in the background. I actually saw several posts about people saying they were dying to know the music that would be used in this scene! I guess they were a tad disappointed! Lol
I didn't mind the lack of music. Truth is, I was WAY too distracted by Brio to notice until later. Seriously! That's true! I guess the producers were trying to make this moment as arguably realistic as possible. Putting in the awkwardness, giddiness and finally the suppressed passion making the final breakthrough into actual physical action.
I swear you can almost see at 3:52 Rio's final mental guard going "Screw it - I'm going for it!" before he just lunges in on Beth! lol

It was bold because not all actors could pull this off. After all, it isn't a *genuine* kiss. But Christina and Manny are meant for each other professionally. They compliment one another so great in every scene, and this scene is a testimony to their artistic skill. The team created a very intimate, realistic scene.

To find out later on that these two actors didn’t exactly get along well, speaks volumes about their independent skills in acting. For them to display this much chemistry in this scene is just unreal! Kudos to them both. Because personally, if I even sat in the same room with Manny Montana I’d be a blubbering mess-never mind being able to act out a full-on heated love scene!

They were just not friends but cordial...You can easily tell they were cool and people claiming they didnt like each other is some bull..just an excuse.
Manny himself said one time in an interview he is too introverted and has to open up to the cast and i believe probably the girls misunderstood his introverted nature as something negative plus his childish wife made it very clear she hated brio and their scenes together.
Her remarks definitely didn't help so you can imagine the tension..Christina and Manny were the face of the show..their talent is exceptional!

In comparison to the bathroom scene, this one has such "clarity " to it.. This time they're both sober, not overcomed by any irrational thoughts/feelings, in the daylight, no music, soft, slow, and very calm.

Regardless of Beth's so-called intentions, don't forget Rio is only the second man that she has been with. So that also figures in to why Dean is losing his damn mind. We as women know, we're emotional creatures. And a kiss, is all about feelings.
I completely agree. I think thats what makes her so nervous and awkward, but also excited. I also think thats part of the reason Beth doesnt really see how much Rio is into her. To her I think she thinks this is just apart of the business for Rio. As for Rio, He also knows that Beth isnt the type of person that has sex with anyone. Just think back to the episode when he suggested telling the FBI that he was "hitting it" or "Sorry, making love"...Beth about choked and was super awkward at just the suggestion. It probably makes him feel good she chooses him. I dont think Rio lets his guard down often. I feel like you could see him let it down right before he started to take over. I think he is more into her than he lets on or probably likes to be.I felt bad for him at the end, but its the same thing he did to her when she threw the keys at him. Her pay back was to get him locked up. It will be interesting to see what his pay back is.
You and I think alike. I too thought about that episode when he was in her minivan and had to differentiate between hitting it and making love. I think he knows that Beth is fragile and inexperienced, plus she's smart and he values her. I think he does have feelings for her. More than that asshat of a husband of hers does. He's going to get her back. I read ahead. Two episodes from now. You wait and see. He's going to play dirty but she's not going anywhere.
I still think he is into her. He could barely look at her and talked a lot for him. I think he is trying to teach her a lesson or pulling back to protect himself. Unfortunately, I dont think he realized how much Beth needs to hear she is something and good at something, not even in a romantic meaning. Thats what she told Dean "It feels good to be really good at something." Sure she probably wants him to want her sexually but I know now she really doesnt see that he has feeling for her. Now Beth's marriage is over, her home life is a mess, FBI closing in, she cant count on anyone really, now the work and Rio arent makeing her feel good either. A woman with not much to loss. He may have just pushed her to far... Fortunately Beth is loyal,smart, and works best in a pinch. Rio's money is burnt because of her, plus the debt they owe for the undelivered pills. Beth Boland always delivers. I think she is going to find a way to save everyone, except maybe herself, plus pay off Rio. This I think will lead to his grand-gesture which unfortunately is probably more towards the business end but crazier things have happened in this show 😂

I think Beth is in the middle of a somewhat midlife crisis and knows that what her and Rio have could never work. She wants to have her fun, but knows that it could never go past the bedroom and wishful thinking. Although in an illegal way, Rio has rescued her financially and has provided what Dean can’t. Rio’s business is illegal, but he has ambition, balls, mystery, passion, and boyish good looks. Who could resist that? 😍😍
