That interlude with Matsuri's angelic vocals and Yukina's growling over that VI-i-VII-V chord progression is an absolutely stunning bit of composition, incredibly powerful

Matsuri does the music she is extremely talented .This song is very much more structured like a standard song and my favorite off the album a video of them in the practise room just went up by some one where they all swop instalments its hilarious .

Just buy the album already! lol This is their fake anime song - Hanabie style. As mentioned, the TIE-UP refers to partnering with an anime. Yukina actually sounds like that live - she can actually make those noises. lol As for the layering of Yukina and Matsuri on this track, it's a perfect balance of angel and demon. This is my favorite Hanabie track for that reason, I think it encapsulates them as a band perfectly. Matsuri said she tried to go old school anime theme with it but, as with everything they do, it just sounds fresh and new.
I have not found any of their MTH covers available but they do have an ADO cover, which is predictably 100% fire.
That sucks that there aren't videos of their MTH covers, hopefully they will do a studio version of one. You are so right, this song compared to the other tracks we have heard so far, seems to have a little bit of all them in there. It's a perfect cross section of their music. Really good example song to show the band to someone.

Yup. If any band could get MTH permission to record a cover album, I’ll bet Hanabie would be granted permission.

Want to tie-up - not a BDSM song but them wanting an anime tie-up. So I've read. Passcode have a new track "Freely" that may be of interest. Some more Idolcore : Shingeki "Inferno".
I would even be down for a Hanabie Anime. I would SO watch that.

No way escaping those vocals by Hanabie (why would you want to?!), so getting tied up in them is definitely the go. United in that. Well navigated.
They reminded me so much of the band Propagandhi that I am now wondering if they have listened to them before. Propagandhi's guitarist/singer Chris has a very unique way of playing that I haven't heard really anywhere else than this song.
Their song is so creative. WTI should be anime theme song.

Sae posts drum cams on her Twitter from time to time and has posted Want to Tie-Up before and that is definitely Yukina doing it all herself. They are part of a concert that will be live streamed on November 7th if you want to see how well Yukina does live.
