The kitten is totally not interested in the duckling and goes it's own way; it sees the little left over duckling as a playtoy, and that will be the end of it. The poor yellow creature finds no comfort with it's cat'friend', gets cold and exhausted, poor poor lonely thing... No 'happy ending' at all! It's a lovely kitten though too, but also the kitten seems to miss a real playmate...
