Winter lay up, i'm geussing? I mean, she's still in use, isn't she? Wouldn't mind to trade places with my colleagues for a week or so. Allthough they would be totally spoiled here with autopilot, radar, electronic charts and 800 HP Deutz. :D Very nice video, mate! I like the music too! I'll share this on the Binnenvaart-forum, they'll like it too, i think!
***** Cool. Thanks. I'm afraid its still laying up. Not the sort of traffic around here as there is over there. Scratching around in the Humber area at the moment. Dozens of barges out of work. Some likely stuff on the horizon though, so lets keep hoping.
Yes there is. They also float and they haul cargo! But that's pretty much it.... lol But still, it would be interesting to drive one of those for a week or so. No auto-pilot no nothing and a nice old 240 hp Kelvin T8. Old school shipping. ;-)
A big change in use I remember Fusedale running oils and diesel on the Air when it was a Harker's tanker.
Being retired? due to lack of business or cost of maintenance and repairs ? would like to know more and whats to become of this vessel .
Waiting for new business - which will hopefully start soon

Can you sale up the coast in one of them ?
You can sail the coast in a canoe, but while not designed for sea use many have done so on delivery trips.

mykaskin Ah, we'll see what the future brings then. :)
Probably an odd question to ask , but how do you find work , does it go to the lowest bidder or something like?
It’s currently stuck in the mud on the Humber
The English are born to be sailors. Know where in the world can touch us
