I use this camera for work in my truck every day, and I love it. When I sent my manager a clip of a near miss, he was impressed with the quality. For the price you can't go wrong, it also comes with a 64gb micro sd. I purchased a 512gb sd card because I want to cover at least 1 weeks worth of driving. If I set at 720p, it will cover 5 weeks' worth. 49 hours on 1440p @ 30fps and on 720p @ 30fps, it will cover 161 hours. The only issue I had with it is that it wouldn't rewrite over the previous clip saying that the card was full. I checked the settings, and it was set on loop record. I formatted the card, and it still did it. I then reset the camera, and it worked fine. After a week or two, it did it again. But I noticed it did it shortly after I changed the setting on the fps, which is what I did before. I reset the camera again, and it's been fine.
Thanks for showing us a bit of Jhb. Drove along those roads many times 35+ years ago. So much has changed. Pity some of the street signs and "green" boards are not very clear...... Take care Phillip....
Excellent video/review thanks!! The Drivepro 10 and 250 has been in my wishlist on takealot for so long. Can't really decide which one to take, so this is how I got to your video and bonus that you are South African too 😊 Which dashcam would you recommend? I don't want to spend R2500 on something and then I'm not happy. It's a lot of money! For that price and the reviews on takealot I expected much better video quality. Please suggest which one I should buy? On our roads it's necessary!
Great video, thank you. Everyone should have a dashcam. If you can afford it get TWO, one for the rear window (where the risk is being followed). My main concern is that the camera should be able to identify the number plate of the vehicle that has broken the traffic laws or created an accident. What minimum setting would you say will record a number plate?
Dash cams will struggle with that especially at night. If you want such detail them you need a quality action camera like a GoPro or DJI. The problem with action cameras is they will overheat in a car recording all the time so it's not ideal.
@@spiderman01980 yeah just confirmed with transcend that pairing only works with DP620 and not with bought separately DP250 and DP10. So I’ll just make do for now. Hehehe.

I appreciate you going through all the settings in detail. I do wish this UA-cam video was in 60fps.

Can this be paired to drive pro 10 as rear camera and my drive pro 250 as my front cam?
I think it can. They sell the pair as DriverPro620. The kit includes the 250 and the 10.

How long does it record ?
Drive pro 620 is no good, walamg kwinta
