Chair legs, thick ones, make good mandrels for shaping copper around. If they have a taper, you can use a smaller diameter at the ends and thicker in the centre to help get that C shape. Have a look out for old furniture being thrown away and get yourself a free tool. I found one which has two heavy bolts coming out of the top end which can be used to secure it in a vise (or you could just drill out a couple of holes and glue some in-just make sure they’re heavy duty, say M 16 thread).

Well I better get myself a chair leg, I have been using a vice and Anvil, the anvil horn is a bit big.
Thank you for the suggestion I would have never thought of that! 😊

Hello! you said in the video that this could be turned into a business. How do you find customers? I have been practicing making knives for years but I can seem to find someone who wants to buy them.

Use what you have that's free, such as Facebook Instagram and UA-cam. Facebook has Groups to join which is based on buying and selling. Also go into your town and find non corporation shops, and ask the owners if you can sell your stuff there.
I was trained by Alec Steele, JR Cook, and Jerry Fisk, they are all master 'smiths and national living treasures they all have the same problem, with knives is that there are too many knife makers at this moment in time. So many that even the well-known ones are not making anything. But continue to build your name and reputation anyway! It's like the saying would you rather have a million loyal friends? or a million dollars? by building your reputation you will have those million loyal friends! I will do a video on this in the future!
