Awesome review. Really nice backflip in the intro! And thanks for giving an honest review for example the shock towers. Cant wait to see whats next on the channel
I have one and have had some issues with it, but seem to have it worked out now and I love it! It's my first really good RC and it flies. Fun at the park, in the yard or on the road. I clocked it at 50mph with my phone strapped in it on pavement running 3s!
I’ve been looking for a really good inexpensive monster truck after the disaster I went through with a 150 dollar force rc outbreak. Greg, you sold me on this truck. I hope to add it to my collection soon and I’ll be getting the aluminum shock towers with it! Thanks for the honest review
BDlawncare Dude Thanks man, I’ll check out the Blackout XTE Pro. I want a good middle of the ground monster truck and I’m scared to get something after that horrible force rc truck....
@@fonicgaming6787 Yeah I'd say the helion avenge 10mt as well. Also consider the Team redcat trmt10. It might be a little more money but is a much tougher, more quality truck than this.
Nice job on the review! I agree that Redcat Racing has come along way and this is one fun truck! One thing to point out is that the instructions state that it's max battery is 2S LiPo.
I own one of these and its not a bad truck. After some cheap upgrades as a lot of the volcano epx fit this it's a pretty damn good truck. Ive never liked the knuckles in the rear so I switched it to volcano arms and knuckles and issue solved thanks to npch. As a warning though gear up and run on 2s 3s is a bit much since there's no slipper or center diff.
Man you make so nice description of all the vehicles you have. This is one of the reasons i like your chanell. You are one of the best rc chanells i have see. You make very greate job. I can say you are perfect in what you do. One question only for this vehicle, the spur gear is metallic ?
Newer to hobby. Is there an easy to convert brushless motor you can recommend if I were to purchase the brushed version of this truck because the pro model is no longer offered? Love your content thank you
I'm thinking of getting into the RC world. Never bought one but always wanted to. What I'm wanting to know is what everyone would recommend as a good quality truck. I'm wanting a 4wd, with a good availability of aftermarket parts and upgrades as it is my first truck. I'd like to have have a brushless version, but doesn't have to be. I like the Redcat trucks but it will put me over my limit on a lot of their models of $300 as I would have to also buy my own battery and charger. I may be able to go slightly higher than 300, but not much. Thank you in advance for any suggestions, looking for any input at all.
Hey, I'm trying to decide between Losi rock Rey, arrma granite, redcat ducono pro, redcat wendigo and the helion Avenge. Can you recommend the best one for casual bashing on gravel
Could not help notice how the chassis pan did not near touch down when you were pressing on the truck. The reason that the shocks break from the towers easy on landing jumps.
So, I'm looking at this, I'm looking at thhe ZD Racing Pirates 2 V3, and some others. But it is hard to see what cars delivers the best 1/8 or 1/10 experience in this pricerange?
Is there anything with the same wheelbase thats 4x4 that doesnt do the wheelie thing? In trying to find something cool for speed and messing around but something that sticks to the ground so i can put the bigfoot body on there any help would be great.
I really want to buy one but everyone says how easily they break. Maybe if I got the nonPRO, with less juice, it wouldn't break as easily. Thoughts? I'm trying to decide between this and the T10 V2, even though that one's being discontinued. Thanks.
@Brandon Macon this is the second person in the comments saying they thought it was a xmaxx lol. 🤔🤔 But that can't be right as it clearly looks like a Kraton....
🐸 Looks like you need to pack a change of clothes even though the unboxing went so quickly. Cool review Greg seems like a good MT from Redcat, looks fun. Later
Great review👍👍 We've own a couple of these recent Redcat bashers and they are surprisingly durable with some minor upgrades. Totally agree with viewers giving them a first if not second look if they have not seen their latest offerings. Keep up the great work with bringing these less than mainstream RC's to the viewers.
I have this truck. I was very disappointed in the build quality. Both of my shock towers broke. The body only lasted for two runs. This vehicle has turned me off to Redcat products.
That's sucks man. It's funny cause another guy in the comments was debating me on he thought this truck was just as good or better than the 3s granite!!! 😂😂😂
@@rcdriver The other brand (Louise I think) has metal screws though, just like Duratrax. Those in the vid look like molded plastic. Maybe they are metal?
Ummm.. it is 2.4ghz . They still use antennas. Unless you are racing indoors.. there are antennaless systems available but they're pretty expensive for a bash rig. And impractical for outdoor bashing too since the range is a bit less.
@@bigdaddyd82vapes92 The RTR Tactics didn't have antennas. But yes, it's 2.4 and many still do have antennas like the brand new Arrmas. They're short, but still sticking up.
Bought this for my friends son last Christmas and it has been going strong with no issues. On 2s..I need one now

The overall look of the truck is awesome. Lovin that paint job!

They look like duratrax hatchet tires and wheels just without the lettering 👍 redcat has come along way!
Awesome now I am saving up for my birthday gift
Nice review n testing Greg

Interesting!
Might need to add one of these to our lineup...!
Sold out everywhere
Awesome, I need on too add to my collection
Can we see a durability test between Arrma Granite and Redcat Dunkono?
Stop drop and roll K the granite will blow this thing out of the water
You dont know that until they both get tested!
Robert NES816 dude Arrma is leaps and bounds in front of the competition when it comes to Bashers
@@Diveharderbot No they aren't. They're right in line with the competition.

Can you fix the bottom end lag? And what do I need to do to fix it?
I love that your doing more Redcat stuff. Please keep it up. I would love to get your take a The Shredder?
Nick Jones We have a few more Redcat reviews coming up.

What did you end up going with?
I don't know I had the best luck with and I don't know if Red cat does you 17 mm but I've never tried the 12 that truck looks like a lot of fun
Wheels and tires are from Duratrax
Need to put the rear links at the angle as the rear axles that will fix the the toe in problem in back
I have the same one except hsp wolverine
@RCDriver_Online Can you run this on 4S battery?
Ive got the volcano epx pro and ive only ever broken axles. Looking to turn it all metal in time
And same elecronics
Hey man I just wanted to say your doing good on your videos keep it up
The links on mine were the weakest parts replaced with Traxxas parts with nuts and bolts instead of ball studs.

Jerry Mulholland 🤔Hmmm 😉
@@rcdriver I have the volcano with a few upgrades like aluminum knuckles chassis and hubs. It has become extremely durable and fun

Less chance of breaking because it's not as fast, but probably about half the fun though lol

How hard where u bashing?
Somtings plastic is better then metal but i may be wrong crazy car tho found ome for bout 70 bucks
There is a reason for calling this brand "Dead Cat"!!
Suspension should be soft for a monster truck, too hard and it will start to roll over on hard turns on high traction surface 😀
Did they seriously sand off the duratrax logo on those tires
I don't think they are Duratrax, just copies.
cmcclellan80 * Duratrax doesn’t make their own tires. They’re probably the same supplier though.
@@rcdriver The other brand (Louise I think) has metal screws though, just like Duratrax. Those in the vid look like molded plastic. Maybe they are metal?
Those wheels look almost like exact copies of Duratrax wheels, but a little cheaper.
Duratrax Hatchets, thats what I was thinking too
I think the arrma granite is the better truck in the same price range
Definitely

i think Redcat should stick to building rock crawlers it seems that that's what they are best at

Sorry, but this is pretty expensive for a 10th scale basher. Sabertooth 1/8th much more RC for the money!
Definitely not a monster truck.
This rc sucks it’s flawd
i stay far away from redcat........
