I wouldn't even play guitar if it wasn't for Ritchie Blackmore! His sound with Stratocasters and his playing was completely his own! To this day, you can tell his playing!! People talk about being "original", but most guitar players sounded the same. Not this guy!!!!

While I am grate for the MkIII albums and live shows, it is unfortunate that Gillan and Blackmore could not resolve their differences. They were on the cusp of being the biggest stadium act in the world.
