    The benefit of that low price you were offering before is that it probably got you a decent amount of initial exposure

    Where is a good place you order a hundred? And about how much? Some internet companies charge about 3 dollars per sign does that sound about right?

    • @traviswilson3251

      Yep that’s about what I pay. I use what everyone uses I buy from UZMarketing.com. I have double sided signs it cost me about $350 for 100. If you get smaller signs and don’t do a front and back design you can save money as well.

    How do you handle the dumping at the landfill do you have to register ur company with them in order to dump how many times and what ever “junk” you get , where i live the landfill in my area only allowed me to dump “demolition” stuff once a year which is crazy to me so den i got to think den how these commercial guys do it. So itll be helpful if you have any knowledge thanks

    • @traviswilson3251
      @traviswilson3251  6 місяців тому

      So from what I’ve gathered most cities/areas have dumps that are open to the public. This is how the dumps in my area operate and I don’t have to register at all, I just pay a fee every time I dump based off weight typically.
      However, some places like the area you’re in do have some weird rules. But it’s not too uncommon. You just have to jump through more hoops and have a more legit company to register with the dumps. You’ll probably have to see what is required of you, they may have a vendor packet. (May possibly need to show insurance, a Dot number, etc). This seems bad but I’d imagine because of these rules there isn’t too much competition. So there’s great potential.
      The commercial guys are definitely registered with the landfills. In fact even the landfills near me have an option to register. This just allows you to not wait in line with everyone else and I see the big corporations driving past the lines all the time near me.
      Sounds like the specific landfill you’re talking about may just be weird but if the commercial guys are in your area and dumping it’s definitely possible.

    Do you just leave customers with a bill or do you take money up front? Like do you have one of those little credit card readers?

    • @traviswilson3251
      @traviswilson3251  7 місяців тому +2

      Typically I always take the money as soon as the job is done. I use a little handheld card reader yes. If it’s a no contact pick up I send them a payment link and ask that they pay it before the end of the day. If it’s a commercial job for a company I wait for a check or deposit.

    Where I live there's no where to dump electronics, dumps don't seem to take them, is this a problem in your area? What do you do with them? Or do you not take them?

    • @traviswilson3251
      @traviswilson3251  6 місяців тому +1

      I don’t have too much advice on this one. The dumps near me take e waste, the scrap yards take e waste as well near me. There’s even dedicated e-waste recycling places here.
      At the end of the day If there’s nowhere to take it, I wouldn’t take it. But you may be able to recycle, donate, etc, those items. So it’s just a call depending on what you decide. Take it and charge an extra fee for the difficulty to dispose of it, don’t take it, take with no fee. It’s just a decision that’s up to you. I’m sure you probably have but I would just keep calling till you find a place, then decide.

    Is it cheaper truck and trailer ? or better to get a dump truck that I can add a trailer later on , since you know both have to be insured which is better

    • @traviswilson3251
      @traviswilson3251  6 місяців тому +4

      You can get away with personal insurance on the truck and trailer setup. S overall the trailer setup is usually cheaper. It also will likely cost less than a dump truck but some people find deals. That’s just from what I’ve heard and gathered. I believe commercial auto would also be cheaper with a trailer versus commercial dump truck.
