Forty-five minutes is great time! (Noticed the hose on the sander, LOL! Gotta get myself one of those Ryobi sanders) Drawer liners are so clean-looking and professional. I love that touch, too. I REALLY LOVE what you did to that dresser! OMG, that's gorgeous! I especially like Thomasville furniture from circa 1974 through the late 1980s. In the early '90s something happened and the quality deteriorated. Obviously, post Y2K, it's not made anymore. Mid-1970s, Thomasville produced very good quality, and I still look for their Chippendale-style chairs from that time frame. I can't acquire enough...just the right size, and I paint them all white to blend together. I have a huge family, a huge dining room, and better to have the vintage chairs I love than junky folding chairs. But I digress...your furniture flip is amazing. I admire your design "eye" and envy your talent. Carry on, sister, you're truly an inspiration.
Ok Refinishing Wizard, where did the gouge go? It looked deep but went away when you scraped it, amazing. I just bought some scrapers and hope it will be a time saver. I enjoy your soothing voice, and find your transformations inspiring, as well as relaxing. I realize your were going for a similar color refresh stain, but what would happen if you used a light gel stain over that darker wood?
Ha! I told you it's magic! Gel stain is my secret weapon. Scrapers are fabulous. Such kind words, thank you. I'm not sure about the light gel stain over the darker wood. I've not tried that, but I should! Thanks Heidi.
As flippers locate better pieces with more beautiful wood I’m always sooo relieved to see that they refresh the finish instead of paint over it.
I love a mix of wood and painted pieces in my home, but when the wood is so good it’s tough to paint over it. 🤩
Wow!!! 😯
Thank you!
A clue to the quality is that when you pulled out the drawers there were shelves in between drawer layers rather than just open holes.
Indeed! Love it when I find those
You can use some cement pavers, etc to hold the dollies in place so they don't roll around on you. I think it would make it a little easier for you.
Indeed!
Forgot to say: my momma (ever the campaign furniture fan at 88 years old) loves that dresser, too!
🫶🙌🏼😊
Clearly you are a professional. Great job 👏🏻
Well, I try my best 😊
You do a great job staging, too! 😊 Great pivot with this piece.
Thanks so much! 🤩🙌🏼

Thanks Charlene!! I love the mid century furniture of all styles. That’s the era I seem drawn to.
Stunning makeover! Yes toning is great when wood is in good condition just dirty, neglected and needing to be refreshed.
