INFINITE leader, Kim Sung Kyu's first mini album [Another me] has finally come out. The solo debut album [Another me] will take the sentimental voice of INFINITE leader Sung Kyu.
The mini album title song '60Sec' is a music that fits Kim Sung Kyu perfectly like a tailored suit. The time it takes to fall in love is 60 seconds, and the time it takes to break up is also 60seconds. In those short times, Kim Sung Kyu's voice describes all the feelings of sadness and happiness.
It was somewhat difficult to show all the feelings in one song, but he was able to control the feelings and put it all in.

今回のミニアルバムのタイトル曲は「60秒」で、まるで体にぴったりのスーツを作るために正確な寸法をはかるようにキム・ソンギュの声にぴったり合った音楽が誕生した。恋に落ちるのにかかった時間60秒、そして別れるのにかかった時間60秒。その長くも短くもない時間の中で一人の女性とのときめいて胸の痛む響きをキム・ソンギュ特有の切ないボイスで表現する。一曲の中に相反する感情をどう表現するかが曲のカギだったが、キム・ソンギュはきちんとしたボーカルコントロールで感情を盛り込んだ。

이번 미니앨범의 타이틀 곡은 '60초'로 마치 몸에 딱 맞는 수트를 만들기 위해 정확한 치수를 재듯 김성규의 목소리에 딱 들어 맞는 음악이 탄생했다. 사랑에 빠지는 데 걸린 시간 60초, 그리고 이별하는 데 걸린 시간 60초. 그 길지도 짧지도 않은 시간 속에서 한 여자와의 설레고 가슴 아픈 울림을 김성규 특유의 애잔한 보이스로 표현한다. 한 곡에 상반된 감정을 표현해야 하는 어려움을 표현하는 게 곡의 관건이었지만 김성규는 자신의 칼 같은 보컬 컨트롤로 감정을 담아냈다.

“L sees the girl and wants to meet her. Time stops for 60sec and he sees their entire relationship play out right up until their break up. Because their relationship is doomed he decides to get up and leave his ring (by the way you never see it on his finger until he puts it on in the alternate timeline). In the current timeline (where they have yet to meet) she sees the forgotten ring and tries to give it back to him. L tells her to keep it because he already saw that they would break up. When she looks into his eyes she she is able to see the alternate timeline as well. This is shown by the alternate timeline video reversing quickly. This also resets the timeline so that they never meet. The scene where L offers her umbrella is the first time they would have met IF he decided to go with the relationship. But because he doesn’t he ends up alone. GENIUS!”

I was a super kpop fans many years ago. On that time, we still have SNSD,2NE1, Super Junior, Big Bang, infinite, B1A4, Block B , Sistar, Beast, 4 minute, FT island, CN Blue etc.
And this song was one of my favourite solo by Sung Kyu and yet he is still underrated.

I clearly remember when I first saw this MV. I was at school. After school ended, me and my friend decided to stay in the classroom to watch this MV together. And that day, we were so confused about the story in this MV. We tried very hard to understand the storyline, and we even made some theories, lol. I miss my friend. Idk where she is now :( after we graduated from senior high school, we lost contact. Hope she's okay and doing well :)

I'm not really sure how the story goes but
I think Myungsoo first saw her and already fell in love within 60 seconds. But I think he has some kind of power or sense that told him in the future, they are not going to end well. So it also took him 60 seconds to remove her from his heart. When he left the ring, it was a message to her. And when the time went back, I think it meant how they will start their relationship.
I think you're close but I think it's like this, He saw her on the street after so long and he realized how he still loved her which is why it's showing their past. Then he realized he should let go so he does, and the going back in time shows that he will always love her but he'll just remember it as a story.

The story behind this MV is very simple, actually. L sees his ex one day and follows her into the café where she is now working. She doesn't recognise him because she doesn't see his face properly/expect him to be there (when she serves him, his head is down). While L is waiting for his order/to be served, he remembers their time together. At the end, he leaves the ring there and she gives it back to him and sees him properly and remembers.
Then it flashes back to how they first met and flashes forward to a past memory before returning to the present, where they are both still hurt about the break-up.

***** I don't think that's it, simply because he had the couple ring. If they'd never been a couple, and he was only seeing into the future, he wouldn't have had his couple ring to give her.
My interpretation:
1. L comes across his past love at her workplace. I think the slow motion scene is supposed to represent that time stopped when he saw her (just like the first time so maybe he still loves her) She doesn't recognise him because he hides his face from her. While sitting in the cafe, he recalls all the moments in their relationship and giving her the ring being one of them. It shows them breaking up and she gives him the ring back. While in the cafe, he puts his ring on the table signifying that he is ready to move on. She finally recognises him as she tries to give the ring back. (flashes back to their first meeting) and then he walks away.
I question which ring he put on the table, because she gave him her ring which meant he had both so which one did he put on the table? That leads me to my next guess.
2. The same as no. 1 until the ring bit. He puts her ring on the table because he wants her to know that in 60 seconds she stole his heart but she never left his heart and will always have his heart. (Maybe that's why the girl was crying. I dunno. its just a guess.) L leaves with no regret of loving her.

The whole theory about L seeing their future in 60 seconds make sense to me. I don't think it was just L either, to be honest. My take on it is that when he first sees her, he's shocked and it's love at first sight - however, if you remember, the girl doesn't see him until she gives him the coffee and that's part of her job, so she doesn't really see him, not yet. He thinks about what could be if they were to get together and then, in the end, realises that it wouldn't be possible and that sometime during their time together, they'd split up, so he's saving them the pain of breaking up and decides not to pursue her.
When he gets up, he leaves the ring on purpose, whether to get rid of the memory/vision he'd just had of them two, or because he wanted her to keep it for some reason, I don't know. She runs after him to return the ring and I think at this point, she takes a really good look at him and she sees the same future as Myungsoo. Bearing in mind, she's holding the ring as well and it looks like L is begging her to keep it - to keep the memory of what could of been with her; he walks off and leaves her there, knowing what could of happened and what would have happened.
During the ring-giving scene, he hands her it, makes her keep it and I feel this is also to protect himself from heartbreak. He knows what will happen if he goes after her, no matter how 'in love' he is with her and he wants to avoid breaking both their hearts. She knows this as well, which I feel is why she is crying. They both want a future together, but they know how it will end and they want to avoid the heartbreak. Even if they were to have happy memories, they would still inevitably break up; this only prolongs the heartbreak and makes it harder to endure when it WILL happen.
I don't think I'm explaining myself properly, but this makes sense in my head. I know there's a theory about past lovers, and I see that as a plausible theory as well - I'm just leaning on mine a bit more. Furthermore, I don't think they were flashbacks she was seeing, but rather the future that they'd have had.
To back up my whole theory, I mean, haven't any of you ever looked at someone and thought, "I wonder what would happen if we ever met, if we were ever in a relationship? The things we'd do... The things we'd fight about, everything." I'll admit it: I have. I have thought about it before, and in the end it ends with the same thought, "No. It wouldn't work." It's not something I've cried about; they're a stranger and I have too much to do to be worrying about a thought I had with someone, but when your friends are in stable relationships, it leaves you wondering if you'd be able to find that with someone too.
Besides, as I've been told by various sources, Sunggyu said that this song was about how a relationship can start in 60 seconds, but also end in 60 seconds. I keep editing this, sorry.

This is my most favourote song by Sunggyu, and when the M/V has my INFINITE bias in it, it's like 👌🏼🍒🎂 (puts the cherry on the cake)
