- 2 days in the backcountry of BC, solo paddle board camping with my dog. Our goal was to find a secluded island far away from others, camp overnight and cook some delicious food. Not quite the catch and cook I plan to do in the future but this is what a typical weekend looks like for us.
My dog, Kyro, and I are based in British Columbia, Canada and spend the weekends solo adventuring, exploring mountains, camping and paddling. New videos every week :).

I can feel the feelings come back of waking up in the morning while camping. It is so beautiful on that lake.

It's only the 2nd night that I've run my wood stove this winter, but today was windy and brisk with a skiff of snow. I've seen it a lot worse this time of year here in Montana and the Dakotas. Your video is just what I needed on a cold windy night to exemplify a perfect summer camping trip. Thanks! It brightened the dark early nightfall.

Reminds me of Voyageurs National Park here in the US (northern Minnesota, on the border with Canada). I was up there doing conservation work and it was amazing. We'd take a park boat or canoe to work everyday and then spent the weekends with a canoe exploring every island we could find. We even did a 62 mile canoe trip through most of the boundary waters. Great content, hope you enjoy fishing when you start. Just remember, it's more about the experience than catching anything so don't get too hard on yourself if you spend hours and don't get anything!

Madison, I like how natural you are in these vids. It's very real and enjoyable. I would use a pack boat instead of a paddle board though you're great on it I think it'd be safer if the weather turned. I'm sure you're an inspiration to young woman everywhere!

Recently discovered your channel and absolutely loving your adventures! Kyro seems to be a great adventure companion and is so well behaved! Was it difficult training him to be comfortable on the paddle board?
Thank you so much 🥹. Luckily Kyro prefers not to swim so he’s happy staying on the board. And he’s always down for an adventure. We have to paddle early mornings though because it gets to hot in the afternoon for him.

@@MadisonClysdalee My dog doesn't like to swim either. I go kayaking with her in my Pelican. There's room for her sitting between my legs. Sometimes she tries to stand up and once she got up on the bow and slipped off and had to swim to shore. I have wondered if a paddleboard would be more comfortable for her, but I see that Kyro sometimes falls off your paddleboard.

What breed of dog is Kiro?
Great island and video!!! Another great thing with couscous.... You can eat it cold (cold soak) takes 15-20 min max to be ready and you can make it sweet with honey or brown sugar with cranberries etc... or very normal with whatever you want.... Both cold and hot are amazing.

A group of us did a week long kayak trip on Lake Powell. At one of our camps, there was an old Anasazi cliff dwelling that had been restored by the National Park Service. It was only accessible by boat (or kayak). That night, the winds kicked up. So I spent the night in an ancient Anasazi Cliff dwelling lite by a full moon ..... ooooh. Spooky !
