@@jasonmclean7544 yes they are. Calgary has one of the worst d core in the nhl and their top 2 centers are already in their mid 30s. They don’t have an elite star player. They’re so far from competing
I feel for the guy as well. The team he signed the contract with looked like it had a lot of potential, then went south so quick. He does seem like he had a great attitude about bringing up the kids, but he's at the prime of his career, I wish we could see him play important hockey. It's got to be tough with Florida going to the final again.
As a Flames fan, I hope Conroy can make some good strategic moves to accelerate the rebuild/retool. But yeah, it's not going to be a quick turn around.
