She’s so helpful !! Good luck for results day everyone
Thank you! And yes, good luck everyone if you are getting results soon!!!!
Hi Miss Estruch, Just got my result today and got an A* in biology, as I sat these ‘exams’ as a private candidate your videos and website were beyond helpful so I wanted to say a big thank you for doing what you do! Couldn’t have done it without having the content and resources you have put online for students💕
Wow, CONGRATULATIONS!!!! That is an amazing achievement.
I'm so pleased my content helped you ☺ 😊
Hello what do you do to get an A in Biology? I really need help in understanding what to do.
@@kizejohn537 I just watched lots of youtube videos on topics I am struggling with understanding such as vids on this channel, khan academy is also really good although it isn’t A level specific it helps understanding concepts.
I also did a lot of blurting (writing stuff out without looking at the text book) and made mind maps from memory, it really helps identifying gaps in knowledge.
But yeah my main tip for understanding would be to make full use of all the videos on youtube theres so many good ones that explain concepts in different ways and you’ll find at least one that just clicks.
Hope that helped and wasn’t too long to read😭 Good luck for your exams, you got this 😊
How did you apply as a private candidate? I want to do the same but I’m not sure how to find a centre
@@Andrea-sk8ju you can look through your exam boards website I think or google any private/independent schools near you as they usually do take private candidates, theres loads if you live in London, I am not too sure outside of London though.
You’ll have to do some research though to ensure you sit with a reputable centre and also submit your registration forms for the exams in good time or you’ll be charged late registration fee.
i needed this for a motivation boost!!
This was so motivating for me and now i understand what i should be doing to succeed thank you very much for this video
Hey! I'm so glad it has motivated you and hopefully made you see it is possible!
This video is amazing! Thank you so much! 😁
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you liked it and hopefully it well help you get to those top grades!!
Hi Miss Estreuch I love your videos they’re so helpful! Is it possible if you do a video on going through some exam style application questions and like those data/method questions that always come and just explain them 😅
Hello 😊 Thank you so much, I'm really glad you like them.
I have a whole playlist on exam technique covering that which I think you'll find helpful 😊ua-cam.com/play/PLOfYYgIrtVMjX1HstD3MQGYCfGk10AZRh.html

Thanks Miss please cover edexcel salters nuffield a
I am so happy I found you! ❤️
I have no academic biology knowledge because unfortunately I didn’t go to school (personal issues) I absolutely love biology and dream of being a Physician Associate.
I need a degree in biology to gain entry to university to study for PA but first need to learn to walk before I can run.
I was wondering if you could recommend any books to self teach from the beginning?
I am an older student trying to better my life for my daughters future and follow my dreams too.
I have time on my hands so this is an advantage for me to start right at the beginning and work my way up.
Any advice, help etc would be much appreciated.
Also biology maths too, if anyone could recommend what areas of maths I would need to learn.
Thank you very much for your time ❤️
Hello Toni!
I'm so glad you found the video so helpful!!!
If you're teaching yourself I think you would find my Biology notes really helpful. missestruch.co.uk/product/a-level-aqa-biology-notes-full-set-topics-1-8-copy/
I go through all the key theory and indicate key marking points.
For book recommendations, take a look at the description in the video. I recommend a range of books there.
I hope that helps! 😁😁
@@MissEstruchBiology Hello Miss Estruch. Thank you for your reply. I am indeed trying to teach myself, I will take a look at all of the information. Thank you very much for your help. Have a great day 😊
Your videos are very helpful especially when it comes to the content, do you offer private lessons by any chance. Thank you.
Hello , I'm so glad you find them helpful ☺
Yes I do, all my tuition options are available here missestruch.co.uk/tutoring/
I like biology but it always feels as if I never know anything even when I think I understand the content I don’t but I can’t spend a week on one topic so I just Gotta move on 😅 and those application questions 😬 some of them it’s like Ok but others it’s like I could know the topic absolutely perfectly and still not get an answer and that’s like half the paper 😆 🤷♀️
Oh yes! Some of the application questions are VERY hard. Some are so hard that when the papers come out all us biology teachers have to put our minds together to try and work it out 😆
I do have a video on application questions though, a step-by-step approach to help manage these questions that you may find helpful.

@@MissEstruchBiology ah I shall check that out :)
What would your best revision tips be with only 2 months left until exams?
hey I have a video on that! ua-cam.com/video/3JJagaiMmpw/v-deo.html
Can you please make a video on how to get an A/A* for bio for the people who are retaking in autumn? i Just missed an A and i really need A* for medicine. Any tips would be much appreciated
Hi Sara,
I am aiming to have a video on this out within 2 weeks! So many have asked for it, so I will definitely do it.
Good luck with the resit!!
video is coming this evening 😊
@@MissEstruchBiology thank u!!
30 hours a week is more than all my time not just outside of any other work.
My normal day
6hours sleep, 1 hour morning routine for me and my baby, cooking and eating 2hours its been 9hours now. Play with baby until nap time usually get 2 hours. Study while breastfeeding then eating then sleep time. This is extremely hard without taking me time and i am sick of it. I want my me time and i hope to pass 3 a levels
hey. the 30 hours a week is a maximum and is the recommendation for students in full-time education who aren't also parents. Being a parent makes is much more challenging as you of course need to spend time looking after your children and need time to yourself to decompress.
Instead, for students like you the key will be working as efficiently as possible.
@@MissEstruchBiology thank you. And thank you for your resources as well. I wish you also were a chemistry tutor
Do you have any resources for CAIEs (A level)
Not specifically, but there is a lot if overlap
Can we retake AS after A2 exam
Do u also Recomended the complete course of Aqa from CGP?
What is the exact title of the book? There is one from CGP I really do not recommend! The two I like are linked in the description 😊
@@MissEstruchBiology it’s the
a level biology
Aqa
student book
the complete a level course for Aqa
ah, in my opinion, that one isn't one I would use. I prefer OUP textbook instead. The CGP book isn't AQA approved whereas the OUP one is and it links much better to the details needed
@@MissEstruchBiology but that book talks about 1 subject to much and is a bit confusing at time. Would I miss out on content with it?

Tips for y13? I got a C in my AS mock and I need an A at the end for neuroscience…
hey I have a video on this! How to prepare for y13,it's on.my channel homepage 😊
This is scarily accurate.. like exact.
same
Is doing past papers the only way to secure an A* in a level biology?
It's a pretty essential part of the revision
Ok. Thank you. I love your videos btw they are so helpful

Hello,

Hello, Yes they are from AQA past papers
