It is colossal injustice to Huawei; as if other companies are not within the possibility of actually doing the same as Huawei is accused of; but when one tries to drive a great entity as Huawei to the corner, they only are making a stronger, more independent, and more innovative conglomerate out of them.

agree. ffrom a competition point Huawei is a healthy mix that pushes Samsung, Apple, Sony etc to provide better value for their Phones. Without Huawei, I think phones now will be just as dull as before

Huawei hasn’t pushed the other companies to do anything lol, they’ve just been taking features found on those other phones. They haven’t created a single feature that is now found on iPhones , galaxies or pixels.

I wish Huawei could have a second version of the Mate 20x, I have 2 years with this phone and I will keep it until the battery die and don't work anymore.

Mate series is the best in terms of design, camera, battery. Huawei just deliverd the coolest and best phone on market..
I am a big Fan of Huawei Mate Mobile.. Infact I am still using now the Huawei Mate 20 Pro up to this time..I am planning to buy new one and try to upgrade to Mate 40 pro but i find it to expensive compare than their own competitor.. Hoping to lower the price to get a new one...☺☺
Im planning to upgrade as well as im currently using P20 Pro. But to think that they dont have a good relationship with google anymore, it's kinda take me a step back.

Harmony OS is more Likely Modified Version of Android Just Like Alibaba YunOS Which is not Pure Base in Android but some its file dependency is base in Android

@@cortez1996 Harmony OS is a micro kernel OS, but will compatible with Android APKs. Google is doing similar research project called the Fuchsia OS

Huawei's phone is the only phone I would re-contract for the same brand! Ever since i got my mate 20, I cannot turn away to other brands anymore..and ive got my p40pro recently, I am sOOOO IMPRESSED! Im using 2 phones now simply because of the lack of GMS for p40pro, but I still cant take my hands off my mate 20 xD both are beast!! And now mate 40 series have caught my eyes as well..hopefully I can get my hands on this new model once I could re-contract my line XXDDD anyways, thanks for the review!

This channel is underrated as it is just as good as Mr. Mobile. This 16 minutes review video felt like just 10 minutes to me, very interesting indeed. And very in depth review compared to others which are still not available yet.
the biggest awe to me is that the face recognition app for opening the phone really recognize the owners face even with a face mask on. thats genius!!!
btw have you also tried doing it but a different person is opening it with a facemask on? did the Mate40pro face recognition worked🤔
Finally a review that doesn't discourage you with words like "technically". This review is balanced and filled with information about the phone's pros and cons. And gives the viewer a choice and informed choice at that..

Awesome review, I really want to get this phone, I hope it will come to Canada where I live, I'd love to upgrade from my Huawei Mate 20 Pro that I've been using for 2 years now and I still love this phone. We did get the P40 Pro here in Canada but I'm hoping more carriers will get the mate 40 pro. I also love EMUI, but I mostly just use Nova launcher over top of it, I like to expirament with different Launcher setups to see what they have to offer. I think my next one I'll try out is Niagara Launcher, it's very minimalistic which I like alot, simple not complicated and overrated.

Funny in the "unfree" China you are free to buy any smartphones and any telecom gears you want in the world but in "free" America you only can buy Uncle Sam approved phones and devices... Food for thought!
Well you need to agree to CCP demands to sell your smartphone in China, as in you need to align with their philosophy of censorship and surveillance.
Maybe look into why they were actually banned from selling their phones by most countries that are not in china's pockets from a non CCP certified source before spewing shitty notions. And before you say "but the US government spies on their citizens too", the US governments doesn't have even close to the amount of pull CCP does on Huawei, they practically own it.

Can you be more specific on which of my commentaries are distortions of the reality because these claims are fairly well backed. I can criticize the US government as much as I want while in the country without worrying about the NSA knocking at my door, can you say the same about China?
You seem to have experienced the misuse of power and influence so I don't understand why you think worrying about a foreign superpower with a vastly different ideology is "nothing related to you".
The recent Huawei flagships like the P30 Pro (which I use), P40 series and respectively Mate 40 series usually perform better if you just use no additional modes in low light. The Night Mode gives the best shots only when you want to pull out the most detail in a shot, but sacrifice the great noise reduction of the regular mode. That's why I usually either snap a photo with the regular camera, or I just snap two - one in regular and one in Night Mode and I check which one I like better.
Bear in mind that with a little bit of editting with let's say LightRoom or Photoshop mobile, you can make these photos legitimately dedicated camera-like. It's as easy as reducing the highlights, and reducing the luminance noise with literally two clicks. Of course it always depends on the photo. :)

Thank you Michael Josh for your detailed coverage of Huawei. I personally don't prefer their offerings over Samsung or Apple, but I feel that too many influential tech reviewers overlook the company, mainly due to what is going on with the blacklisting from the USA, but also because they were never really sold in the US market. Huawei have very quickly innovated and continue to push the industry forward in many ways. They really give Apple a run for their money in custom chips, with their Kirin chips only losing out by a small margin in performance, and massively better than what Samsung is doing with Exynos at the moment. Their camera hardware has always been world class, their ecosystem is second to none in the Android space, very similar to Apple's ecosystem, etc. The company was seemingly unstoppable prior to the blacklisting.

How the p30 pro in December 2020?
I dont particularly like this device as its not my kinda taste, but it definitely needs to be in the market. Such competition is good for the tech world and ultimately the customers.
Huawei has a history of stealing technology from it's competitors and undercutting them because they do not have to focus on RnD, they have countless lawsuits against them because of this. It's not really healthy competition.
