- It's been raining nonstop with flooding across Trinidad and Tobago. Today Sana from @ellisfoodandmore6008 and I are heading inside Caura to visit @farmerharry Along the way, we witness landslips and destruction at Pool I, Pool II, Concordia, and Cachipal.

I will tell u this,just an idea,Mr Harry could set up a camera and just capture the sound of the water flowing..It's such a beautiful sound,I could listen to that all day,so relaxing🇹🇹🎶❤️

Glad everyone is safe despite the torrential showers; road surfaces were literally peeled by the floods.
Awesome perspectives from this TRIO! Lyndon's bush skills have soared exponentially as is evidenced by his observations of how the landscape has been transformed by the deluge especially around Farmer Harry's area. Things never stay constant, but only if one has the eye for it.
Farmer Harry, ever generous, ever welcoming even amidst menacing rainfall that has interrupted his myriad plans, still remains cool and calm and collected, and invites his guests to relax and have a cup of coffee; the epitome of Dignity and Honour and Nobility in this kind-hearted gentleman.
Lasana knows the Bush well, and it balances him out as he quickly adapts to the waterlogged environment. His keen powers of observations combined with his Engineering Mind hone in on things like creating a small dam in the river for use during the dry season. He also points out the Concrete Pads in the Red Brick Building that most untrained eyes would just skim over. Within Lasana is a rich History of the Past and how things transitioned into what they are today. His wit is sharp, and his energy contagious when explaining things; a gift that allows the subject matter being related to stick in one's brain.
In short, there was no better way to capture and document the effect of these floods "Inside Caura".👏

As you said orchid ,my dad lived maracas valley and he use to hunt and walk over to Caura and he use to bring home some really nice orchids,talking bout 50 yrs ago yes

You guys have been very brave going on this trip but also nice to check in on Mr Harry. The devastation is truly heartbreaking. We pray God's mercies and grace that this endless rains cease so the waters could subside. Be safe guys.

Boy Lyndon, I'm so glad you posted this video, here nah, last night I sat down and was watching all the tremendous amounts of flooding Trinidad has been getting for the past few days , I pause and wondered how much can people handle and then all of a sudden my mind ran on Farmer Harry and his safety and well being, I was going to message you to ask if he was safe, then I looked at the time it was like 10pm myntime which is 11pm Trinidad time, so I just didn't bothered, I told myself for sure you would bring a video with the situation once it was all safe to go out..Hats off to you all ..continue to stay safe..cheers from Canada 🇨🇦

I believe it would have served as the pump house for the dam under construction in the 1940s

I been to that site numerous times , over a 40 year period...when the guy pointed at the sign ..DANGER unsafe buildings...it dawned on me for tbe first time... why the authorities has NOT considered it prudent to demolish this structure.
Good point. I'm wondering though if there are alternatives because peeking into the building I wondered if there are photographs in history books of the activity that went on there.

@@jimjerry811 for respiratory problems, u can boil water, cut up onions in a bowl, then pour the boiled water over it, cover & allow it to rest for about 2min, then sit over it with a towel over your head & cover your eyes, keep breathing as best as u can till u absorb the steam.
