Hi everyone! In this video, we’re comparing the Lectric XP 3.0, XPress 500, and XPress 750-covering everything from specs and sizing to folding and performance tests. An excellent and thorough comparison of these bikes. I recently went through this exact buying experience, and had done a ton of research beforehand (including many of Ebike Escape’s useful review videos). One key element included in this video (which I hadn’t realized), is the frame sizing difference in the XP 3.0 between its step-thru model and the step over model. I’m also 6’ tall; I test drove the step-thru and also noticed the lack of full leg extension. I wish I had realized that the step over 3.0 would easily solve that issue. I also appreciate that you spent some time explaining the ride feeling differences between the cadence sensor of the 3.0 versus the torque sensor of the Xpress. For me, this was huge, and ultimately what made me select to buy the Xpress. The cadence sensor of the 3.0 really takes control away from you of the bike’s power delivery. For a given PAS level, as long as the pedals are moving AT ALL, the bike tries to give you the maximum speed associated with that PAS level, and does so as quickly as that PAS level allows. Not at all good for my riding preferences. The torque sensor of the Xpress on the other hand, is proportional; the harder you pedal the more assist it provides. This makes it feel more like you’re riding a traditional bike, but suddenly you feel a bit bionic (or in my case as if 10 years younger). I bought the Xpress 750 step-thru, and the only thing I dislike is how noisy it gets at maximum PAS of 5, while you’re also peddling. I would likely have bought the 500 instead, but I live in Colorado which offers it’s residents a crazy tax rebate of $450 per new e-bike purchased (per calendar year), but only if purchased through a Colorado bike shop. Lectric has a national network of affiliated bike shops, but the kicker is these affiliated bike shops CAN’T sell you the Xpress 500! So for me the cost savings kinda made my decision for me, an Xpress 750 for $849, vs an Xpress 500 for $999.
Hey Ebike Escape, I am 5'1 and I am used to riding a fairly large mountain bike, fit for someone around 5'10. Which bike would you reccomend, because I heard that the step-thru handlebars are very high up for someone my height but the seat can go very low. Please help me out as I am considering the Xpress! Also, one thing I want to know is as at 5'1, will I be able to angle the handlebars to comfortably be able to use for me?
The Xpress 500 might work, you do fall just under the recommended height range (5'2" -6'3") . You could check out the Velotric Discover 1 ($999 right now) Plus or Lectric XP 3.0 step thru, the long range is $1,199 and comes with a ton of nice accessories. These are cadence sensor bikes, I really enjoy my XP, super versatile for the price point. Discover 2 is really nice and has both torque and cadence sensors that you can swap between. It's a leap in price, currently $1,699.

This really helped me make my decision just in the nick of time. Thank you and can’t wait for my XPress step-thru!

Any option for a working brake light on any model? Wife won’t let me ride a bike without the most basic safety features.
the larger tire bikes ride better

Oh God! His droning voice makes me shut off after less than 2 minutes!
Cannot get through your video because of your monotone delivery. Talk how you talk with a friend.
That's fair, this is my first review. Thanks for the feedback.
Many of these are too heavy.
