I like her Steve! Great addition to the channel. I really look forward to more chicken videos as I am going to be getting my own next spring but am starting to getting ready for them now.
I was prepared to give this channel my first thumbs down when you gave a bunch of unrealistic opinions but I think you hit the nail on the head with this one. Great job. And for people who think roosters crow at the crack of dawn you are right, but they will crow all day long as well. Thanks for the advice. Love my flock and wish more people could experience having your own chickens.
In my opinion, the eggs from family raised chickens taste better. The yolks have a richer taste, and overall I think they add "depth" whenever you add them to something in a recipe. One of our friends raises her own chickens - their eggs are way better than the eggs that come from the grocery store. Great video!
Chicken are great farm animals, especially for novices. But you also need to consider what you gonna do with them after ~3 years when they stop laying eggs (or with multiple roosters if you incubate your own chicks). So far butchering them is the most difficult task for me.
number 6, if you want to have nice garden beds, don`t have free range chickens. They will dig up everything you plant and will ruin your efforts. FYI!!
In general, but if you are interested in a quiet dog, look into Australian Shepherds. I have one and she doesn't bark or whine. She has barked literally less than half a dozen times in the 4 years we've had her.
One thing you should have added to this, is each chicken needs so much personal space or they will fight and pick at each other and can kill the more laid back chickens. I found this out the hard way, you can't put 5 chickens in the coops that atwoods or tractor supply places sale they are too small they need room. I forgot what the space is for chicken to have their personal space. I just let mine run the back yard, never had a issue other then one like to jump the fence once a while, most times they stayed in the yard, I also found the supply of fleas went away once I got the chickens which was great. They are fun to have and funny to watch, mine I could out chick chick, they would come running then learned what the sound of the back opening up meant, feeding time!
Hi Gary, I will be going over things like coop space and pecking order in future videos! I love watching my chickens, especially in the Spring when they chase around the beetles in the yard.

I agree! I can not eat eggs at a restaurant anymore because they just taste bland.
Yes and the yolk is more vivid yellow. They peel harder thoe.
Welcome to the HGMM team!
Thank You! I am excited to be apart of this amazing team!

FYI Jamie, clipping a chicken's wings is wrong. If you clip only one wing that foul will not be able to control its flight so it will go nowhere.
She has a Deadpool and Boba Fett shirt on...anything she says is now gospel. Preach on!

Dogs are louder than chickens.

I just bought a house in an HOA that doesn't allow poultry :( Unfortunately, it's either that or buy a shitty house on nice land.
On type of Bird...I want an Angry Bird....🤔
