Y'all need to react to the full videos of Rock & Chris Jericho roasting Stephanie McMahon, Rock & Randy Orton in 2003, The Rock singing to Vickie Guerrero in 2013, and Rock Concert 2012.
When the Rock was huge , this was on the air everywhere. They were on the cover of magazines & the WWF had the world glued to the tv every Monday night. Even if you didn't watch wrestling, you heard about the Rock & he was huge. If it were the social media age , he'd have blown Tik Tok , Twitter & everyone else up.
My issue with these videos (the one they're reacting to) is it's just so heavily edited for the sake of "hey listen to this one liner", rather than keeping the segment more intact for proper context. Most of these moments are more savage if you actually see the entire promo.
@@TBearTheDJ Justin and Staci didn't edit the video...it's how it was made. I'm saying the person who originally made the video they were watching did a poor job. They made a one liners video rather than The Rocks ACTUAL savage moments.
@@TheViper4Life No they did edit it. Because they talked about Rock saying to Chyna "it almost look like a natural position" which wasnt shown on this reaction but shown on the original video (In which it was shown). So obviously this video was edited by them.
When it came to being absolutely “savage as all hell” on the mic, absolutely NO ONE came within a mile of beating him 🔥🎤🔥. The Attitude Era was far more intense & enjoyable to watch than the current “shows” we get from the WWE. There have been great trash talkers since, but for me personally, The Rock will ALWAYS be #1 in the ultimate trash talking stakes 🔥🔥🔥
@@Clemente-rr7uh … I’d love to see a “fatal 4-way” trash-talking match between Stone Cold, The Rock, Chris Jericho & CM Punk as listening to those guys go at it on the mic for 3 hours would be FAR more entertaining than the crap we’re currently enduring on RAW & Smackdown each week at the moment. The Miz does a great job with his mic work, but he can’t do it all on his own as many attempts by others make my skin crawl & stomach churn 😵💫🤢🤮. They need LESSONS from past masters in trash talking 🤙😝
@@513hook513 … I’d love to see The Rock & Stone Cold just talk s**t to & at each other for the 3 hours or so each week on RAW as it would be far more entertaining than the crap we’re currently getting & the same goes for Smackdown. Of course, if brother Steve got loaded up on some “Steve-Weisers” beforehand, the entertainment level would go through the roof 👍😁🍺🍺🍺
The period when "The Commissioner" of the WWE was anonymous and set up matches by sending messages to a laptop at ringside was probably one of the weirdest ideas WWE has had. And not in a quirky/funny way.
There was seriously entertaining moments during the attitude era, but it was not PG. This video only scratches the surface of the savagery of the Rock, some of the stuff he said to Stephanie McMahon was vicious.
When he was part of Nation of Domination I liked him and when he first started his own thing i was talking about him when others were talking about Stone Cold. Always loved the People's Champion.
Despite all the amazing savage moments, my personal favorite was when he called Hurricane the Hamburglar. Just because I really enjoyed the Hurricane gimmick at the time.
They could say it on upn/ wb and cable back in the day . People were not as sensitive …. Heck when the rock was flirting with Lillian most of that took place on broadcast tv
It’s so funny you mention his hair cuz it was during the speech where he inducted his father and grandfather to the HOF that was like “alright now, big brother Dewey. I’m gon need you to lean to that black side and just shave it off!! Cuz that hair line is moving up the latter to the roof. Time for due diligence!”
I remember being very uncomfortable in 1998 with The Rock and Chyna. Unfortunately, The Rock ended up being correct with Chyna making adult movies after she left the WWF in 2001. The Rock was very vicious as a heel and early on as a babyface early in his wrestling career.
During this particular time period wrestling was so popular that the network basically gave WWE a get out of jail free card when it came to the censors and the TV ratings being implemented then. And it was mostly thanks to DX breaking almost every rule in the books and talking WWE to the point of almost being cancelled. A letter was sent by the network telling WWE what they could and couldn't say and saying if they didn't follow the rules no more airtime. But DX took the letter and put it in a skit saying everything they weren't supposed to but bleeping it. The ratings were so high the network sent another letter the next day congratulating them on the success and hoping for many more years of the same.
Remember the Sacramento one live on TV when he upset the Kings fans that was funny and savage as PHUCK, if you watched the 2002 NBA Western conference championship the Lakers got help from the league and refs cheating the Kings out the playoffs in a seven game series.
It was the attitude era they say it is that the things on television too bad they can’t do that anymore because people are getting way too sensitive in this PC world 🌎
Yeh that's the kind of stuff i'm talking about. I just wish the video was not cut up that way. A lot of the cut ups were missing context. But Love the reaction. The Rock is savage. Listen. The Rock and John Cena had a feud and they were doing segments dissing either other leading up to the match. You just have to watch those. Type "the rock disses john cena" in UA-cam search. You gotta watch the Rock Concert at least.

It’s not about the promos not aging well, so much as people were less sensitive, less thin-skinned, and more open to hearing harsh humor back in those days.
