Mahmood is half egyptian and Half italian. And in thos song he talks about the fact that his father quitted him and his mum when he was only a child and he came back only for asking to him money(soldi means money) when mahmood became famous. All his song are so deep emotional and his voice is very very particular. Io posso dire di essere italiano perché sono nato e cresciuto in Italia, quindi la mia mentalità, i miei modi di fare e di vivere sono italiani, ma essere consapevole di avere "sangue" italiano e egiziano, italiano e qualcos'altro, o qualcos'altro completamente, e magari andarne anche fiero... La mia amica è bulgara, dice di essere bulgara tranquillamente, ma è anche italiana, perchè è cresciuta qui. Non vedo dove sta il problema, perchè negare le origini di una persona? Tanto mica esiste il sangue italiano 100%, abbiamo avuto talmente tante popolazioni nella nostra penisola che abbiamo tutti sangue misto probabilmente
He didn't win six years in a row 😅 Soldi was his first time at Sanremo in 2019, and he won. Then he came back in 2022 with a duet, and won again. He came back this year with Tuta Gold, and placed 6th I think. But yeah, they weren't gonna let him win 3 times out of 3 for sure. You could listen to his winning duet from 2022, it's called Brividi (Mahmood and Blanco). It is very different from Soldi and Tuta Gold, it's a ballad. But it's good as well.
Mahmood is born in Milan, Italy and raised by his mother Italian from Sardinia. His mother protected him and did everything for him so the woman with the veil holding the little boy is representing his mother. His father is Egyptian and left them when Mahmood was 5yo the man in the video bearing the same tatoo he shows represents his father. The line in Arab is part of a song his father use to play in the car when he was visiting during his childhood. Soldi means money but the song is more on how they complicate relationships. Mahmood is angry at his father for having left without doing anything for the family and himself for not having spent time with him and tried to know him showing up only when needed something especially money. Mahmood has made no mistery that he has no relationshio with his father while he is very close to his mother to whom has dedicated several songs. Next songs try "Barrio" and "Rapide".

The child is him, the woman with the veil and the child is his mother with him, the man and woman, when he is a child, are his father and his mother, that divorced when he was 5 years old
Soldi mean "money". The father of Mahmood left him and his mother when he was child, and he and his mother struggle to try to have a good life. Mahmood is "angry" with his father and in other songs alway complain a little bit about his father: people say tha when Mahmood became famous, his father try to get again in touch with him, and Mahmood was not happy about it. The song SOLDI means this.

That song won Sanremo in 2019 and therefore was at the European Song Contest and it was by far my favourite. He didn't win but got 2nd place and the song was quite successful commercially for not being English. I still love it on my playlist.

Soldi means Money. Basically he is speaking to his dad when he was a kid. And yes his verses are mostly in italian.
Mahmood won Sanremo 2019 with this song and got second place in Eurovision 2019.
Then he won Sanremo 2022 with “Brividi” sang with Blanco and they got on the 7th place in Eurovision 2022.
Actually he is one of the most streamed GLOBALLY among italian artists.
