When I was a driver in Chester in 1987 we had a massive fire and that was make pumps 6..so to make pumps 20 .Great 👍 video. Brings back memories of my driving pumps thanks for the memoriey
1:30 Why the police department not stop traffic on the street or streets around the building fire? Mosly the constable on patrol are faster as the fire brigades and can stopped the traffic quickly!
yer i wish the police would close the road off as well to make a safer working environment for the brigade. or the officer in chance needs to take it in his own hands and red tape the road them selfs and forget about the police
@@TheSurferboi1992 They're looking for the bucket with the medals in it as we used to say. There can be up to ten or more police there and some poor firefighter will be controlling traffic whilst the police hunt for the medal bucket.
Closing roads, can often gridlock the surrounding roads, making emergency vehicle access difficult over a larger area. Sometimes it is better to let the vehicles through and get them out of the way. As long as they are able to move, drivers mostly leave a path for emergency vehicles. Gridlocks are the real nightmare.
Nice to see you caught the bus at 1:40. Do anything nice while in town? (😂) Good job getting early arrivals. Those RVP fill up pretty quickly at big jobs.
Can someone explain why there are so many unmarked cars with blue lights and sirens attending, what can thye possibly do to help? They will need their own large car park!
Yes, some notable turnout from LFB stations to Perivale. Dockhead already mentioned by you. Two pumps from Hammersmith within 7 minutes on the video (must have been edited) and a turntable from all the way from Wimbledon. Great shots, particularly from the early arrivals getting access to the premises prior to the fire taking a firm grip of the premises.
I cannot ever get over the number of sticky beaks who insist on driving into roads where Emergency Services clearly need access! Police need to do a much better job (a lot earlier) in restricting access to people who have no business in that location.
What seems to happen with these big fires, multiple fire engines are on scene, but you find only 2 or 3 do anything, the rest are just parked up around side streets, never used, seems a waste of resources to me
That's why you're a keyboard firefighter. You know nothing. The biggest resource is manpower so how do you think they are going to get there; the bloody bus? When you make pumps 20 for breathing apparatus it's the men and BA sets that are in use, not the fire appliances.
Senior officers who will all take up different command roles at the scene, including Monitoring Officer (most senior officer), Sector Commanders and Support Commanders (BA Main Control, Safety, Water, Logistics), etc.
Ah another keyboard expert who doesn't know his arse from his elbow. UA-cam has to be the biggest training school for keyboard firefighters.....half a brain cell...UA-cam needs YOU 👍🏻
People have a specific job to do, so it is not that difficult. Even those who make the tea have a vital role. Firefighters cannot work when they are dehydrated, particularly in summer, with their heavy protective gear. Sometimes the public overlook the obvious.
Is an operations support unit another word for heavy rescue truck? Why use a big cub van instead of a proper rescue truck with exterior access equipment lockers, quick access interior and truck mounted battery of flood lights?

Looks like there’s more chiefs than in cars then there is pump ladders
The irony of London Fire Brigade using Optare buses….
Least they won’t have to go far when it inevitably catches fire.
They have massive purchasing power and the ability to have custom vehicles built, and they go with that thing😂
Electric vehicles 😑
@@TheCelticBrotherhood Nope. Diesel Optares catch fire and have done for years.
Wow, that is some catch!! No less than two 64m TLs deployed. Those things are beasts!!
Great catches here... So many plain cars(fire officers i assume). Some cool equipment

It's London. That not what London police are for.

Love the Christmas jumper at 3:47 haha
Great video bartosz, one to admire!
Absolutely great vid 👌

Great catch!
Just how many fire chiefs do you really need. I lost count at 9 cars. ?
Incident Commander, Monitoring Officer, Operational Commander, multiple Operational Sector Commanders, 1-8x Support Sector Commanders (Water, BA Main Control, Communications, Safety, Foam, Decontamination, Command Support, Welfare, Logistics, etc).
suppose they could all piss on the fire!!@@thepymes
You need various sector command
What was burning, seems to get much worse once everyone had arrived?
It was a malfunction I think
Were all those pumps really needed or just summoned by some type of alarm?
The extra equipment is not required, the extra pumps are called in for the manpower
Never seen so many bloody commanders!
I have subscribed to your channel. :)
Unfortunately the dumpster was a total loss.
Cracking video mate.
Those command units are awesome
Stay safe 🙏 ❤️ hope everyone OK safe including firebridge omg big fire
Quite possibly the biggest shout they'll ever face in their career!!!!
Amazing spot mate 🔥🔥💪💪💪👌😎
Omg 😲 seems serious 😳 scary 😨 😳 hope everyone is OK

Well put together yerygood
What is it with all the unmarked vehicles? Who do these belong to? If they are commanders / supervisors I can't help but think "too many cooks" lol
I watch fire videos from Russia, Denmark, and the states. Could you please explain the acronym you used?
HVP -High volume pump . RVP - Rendezvous point .
Do you mean HVP - High Volume Pump. RVP - Rendezvous Poinf
@@RonaldCheetham
HVP: what are the specs?
Volume and pressure?
I just put it on a map from Dockhead to Pervile, 14 miles- 57 minutes normal road conditions. 🤣 obvs much quicker on blues but that be a good drive!

Looks like they lost it once the compartment was opened up 😮

oh god here comes the number 1 shuttle bus 😂

I probably know more than you, I have just retired from the ambulance service after 30 years, don't need lectures off you
More firefighters are what they are made up for not the fire engines themselves
Some times you will see fire engines down other streets pumping more water to the other engines seen that few times
Don’t make assumptions. Unless you’re in the fire zone you have no idea.
Looks like all of London responded
Not exactly. It was a 20 pump fire… The London Fire Brigade has 142 pumps.
Oh dear.
Big response!!
What are the lots of unmarked car responding? 6:52
Normally station officers who are paged in
Senior officers who will all take up different command roles at the scene, including Monitoring Officer (most senior officer), Sector Commanders and Support Commanders (BA Main Control, Safety, Water, Logistics), etc.
Why drive staff officers unmarked cars?
Omg 😱
Did any body know what they were doing?
What's given you the impression they didn't?

Why do videos of UK fires seem to concentrate on the equipment artiving rather than the actual fire fighting, makes gir a very boring watch
