I love heavyweights. Like even though they're kinda slow you really FEEL their punches and slams. They have so much power behind them and I love it.

They're not really.
Some of them are hard countered by light characters who can make them combo food, such as Pichu and Palutena, and others are easily zoned by ranged fighters, but they're all good if you play them well, like myself.
Plus Bowser got a MASSIVE speed buff, K. Rool has free super armor, Ganondorf is basically slower Captain Falcon with a sword, DK has always been one of the better heavyweight characters, Incineroar has an amazing counter, etc. But the best heavyweight, at least in my opinion, is Wario. Good ground speed, good in the air, can heal, can increase his speed using his bike, powerful attacks, a suicide move with his Bite if you grab someone with it while falling off-stage, you name it.
Try em out at your leisure and you'll see several strengths. You'll also see several weaknesses but that's true for every character.
So what I'm trying to say is character choice doesn't matter in Smash.

The only heavyweight I've made into elite was ganon. He was actually my first character to get in and rn I'm working on bowser. They suck competitively, but are extremely fun.
I can't even get into Elite! I believe I constantly scrape by the underbelly, but never get above the bar.

@@stomachache6478 oof. Ganon is currently the only char I have in elite, but I try to mix things up and not keep things bland, so I do my best to avoid camping and spamming. It's just not fun for me.
