To be honest I am a fan of hers. Or I was when she was Superwoman and was focused on UA-cam. After she got the show and it became all about the show, I got immediately turned off. She was more real when UA-cam was her main platform. She got too swallowed up by making other things except UA-cam and being the tv persona that she got fake and too woke. For some people it works. For a lot (like her) it doesn't.
Maybe if she stuck with her charities and her other campaigns and did NOT get into television it could have worked for her. I'm just glad that that stupid show was finally canceled. Here's hoping she wakes up and goes back to her roots.
I mean that is a huge reason some people do you tube, to get noticed and make it big and when it happens to her after years and years of you tube you expect her to say "No, I'm fine just making stupid you tube videos instead of having my own national television show, but thanks anyway!" Really, wtf do you expect from her?
@@puntinprincess7343 First off chill out. This is just my opinion. No need for the tone. Secondly, what I expect is someone who is gonna use the immense help she has from behind the scenes and actually use what she's already done to do something meaningful instead of bad jokes.

@@puntinprincess7343 Actually, yes, that IS what could be expected for some UA-camrs to say. Not all of them are dying to tug off some network show. You are beholden to the network execs, to the ratings, with a constant ax hanging over your head when you take a network gig. On YT if you don’t perform well, it’s fine. You can make up for it. If on network TV you don’t perform well, it could be the death of your show. And you have to sit and anxiously wonder between each season if you’re gonna get picked up for another season.
On YT, you aren’t signed to a contract. You can take breaks whenever you feel the need to. You can experiment with things. There’s FAR less red tape. So, yes, some people are just fine with doing UA-cam. TV throws more money at you up front, but it comes with tons of strings attached. You can come and go from YT as you please. Just like Lilly left YT and came back after her show was done.
The thing about Lilly is she is always starving for fame, recognition, validation, and praise. Wherever she sees an opportunity to get more of it, she does. Please keep in mind that a number of creators who set out to “be noticed” end up despising and resenting their fanbase. Because they’re a constant reminder of the “lower tier” of their journey for fame. They begin to grow bitter and jaded from the whole YT experience as a whole, as it’s a symbol that they haven’t amounted to the level they most desire. As a byproduct of this, they stop communicating with their fanbase almost entirely. If they DO communicate with their fans, it’s a rare occurrence, and it has to be screen recorded as some kind of goddamn charity that this high and mighty YTer is talking to a lowly peasant fan.
“Isn’t she so kind to do that?! It’s like she’s one of us! That should cure that fan’s cancer! I hope she can bring back my dead parents next!!”
But Lilly pretends that she ISN’T fame hungry. If she was just up front about it, whatever, but she decides to preach to people. To chastise people. To dish out sage advice, most of it that either contradicts her own practices or is just really, REALLY bad advice.
Lilly cares about Lilly. That’s it. Some people have the humility and self-awareness to know where they fit best and to know their strengths and weaknesses. In Lilly’s mind her strengths are her strengths and her weaknesses are her strengths and she can do ANYTHING even if she’s totally inexperienced and underprepared. Because she guts out any friend from her little friend group that doesn’t praise her mindlessly.
If she truly wants “more” for herself and wants to be successful outside of UA-cam, then she better start realizing that she doesn’t know shit when it comes to the platforms she’s trying to invade with her woke “comedy”.
But you know why she will likely still flop? Because of that woke comedy. She never pushes any boundaries. She refuses to offend anyone except white men. And she thinks that people’s tastes in comedy should change to fit her uninspired, vanilla, woke style. But the majority of people, who are silent out of fear, don’t want that shit.
UA-cam has an audience for pretty much everyone (if Susan allows). TV networks have specific demographics that take time and effort to shift. She’s been told by her sycophantic “friends” that she’s automatically good at everything she does. The masses, however, seem to disagree.
@@RobGavagan I get what you are saying, she may be a piece of shit person , I dont watch her anymore, I dont care about her and neither does the network who hired her. I was just saying most would jump at the chance to make it big, without knowing what all it entails. I wasn't insinuating anything other than it if someone was trying forever to do something with their you tube careers, most would jump at the chance.

Lilly Singh is not famous in India. I mean not anymore, there was a brief PR push for her India from 2016 to 2017 thereabouts.But that has since tempered down. India has its own cringe celebrities to deal with , they dont need these imports.
