Welcome to my review of the T'eyes CC3, this is the 8 core CPU, 6GB Ram, 128GB internal memory version of this fantastic Android Head Unit that comes with facia plate adapter for the Audi TT. The unit itself is glorious, it features a very high res QLED screen and the wireless Apple Carplay is a thing of beauty.
The Teyes CC3 installation was carried out by an auto electrician who said it could have been easier and some fettling was required to get the faceplate and stereo to fit in the car with a factory look.
I got a discount on this product but am under no pressure to give it a positive review, I only ever review products honestly so can 100% say that all opinions voiced in this video are my open and honest opinions.
I strongly suggest you check out the Saab Unleased channel if you want to learn more about Android Head Units and how much you can customise with them. This Android car stereo really gives the car a much more modern look and feel than it had with the factory Audi unit.

Looks great. Congratulations on getting a auto electrician to fit it. No one around me will touch it, but realy want one. And I love the top tracks that flash up on the unit. got to love country music
Car stereo fitters didn’t want any of it but my auto electrician is a diamond. I do love the country music!

Ordered directly from teyes cost 35 for delivery my dvr dash cam I ordered didn't arrive I complained and they have refunded me the cam and now I have to order it again and pay move delivery I don't think this is a very good service at all

I was going to buy a cc2 plus and make it fit in a mg3 but decided to fit a spare stereo i have and then buy a cowling and fit an Amazon Tablet. Seems the cheapest way. These look fantastic for the money.
Yeah these are great
I have a cc2+. Though running a modified os so it's pretty much a cc3 without a accelerometer.
They are fairly simple to wire up as they come with a pre made harness which powers and connects to the car. They transform the entertainment of the car though I recommend a amp.
Yes, unfortunately the wiring in my car was a disaster which made it more complex than need be. I got a basic amp to replace the Audi one as it’s sounds good enough.
@@DefinitelyNotAGuru could be that due to the issues with the car he's bypassed the original harness. The unit does have aux out in many formats.
Fitting on a insignia if you knew what you were doing would take 30 minutes from start to finish.
@@hal752 no, the previous owners had done all kinds of idiocy to the car electrics. Several hundreds of pounds of wiring work later…..

@@DefinitelyNotAGuru it was fine , always difficult in real world. I've looked at this unit for my 5 series, wasn't expecting them to offer something for the BMW but indeed they do, BMW is apple biased and it drives me crazy lol

thank you for the answer and you are right, indeed there is an amplifier for the rear speakers and I used a converter from the brand xtrons now the problem is solved for the sound of the speakers.
I have a small question please, you used another complete wiring, do you have the icon information on the vehicle?
I checked the canbus parameter but no solution but the steering wheel control works

Odd question but can you switch off or massively dim the screen while still playing music for no glare when night driving? I had a pioneer unit with that function and was a good send

I have a tt mk2 as well, was thinking if i was to get this, would i be able to take this out and keep using the cc3 if I were to change car? Like would it fit in a normal universal double din cage and so on :) thank you
You’d have to ask Teyes but my gut feeling is no.
Hey. My TT has the amplifier in the boot (Not Bose) would this unit work with that? I presume it has all the steering controls wired in? Thanks
Yep, as long as everything is currently working fine it should be good. There is a canbus adapter to get your steering wheel controls working I believe.

please, I would like to know if you don't have the rear speaker problem, I installed it on audi a3 8p but not its rear speaker. I checked the parameters, no solution
Hi, no issue with mine but we did a complete re-wire so didn;t actually use any existing wiring. Perhaps the Audi has an amp for the rear speakers which is causing an issue???
Hi there. I have a question for you? This is for a 2014 Audi Q5 actually. Does your unit have an AUX app installed in it and does it allow you to access OEM display information through it? Mine is a CC3 2K unit and it has an AUX app in it. The problem is that when I open the app it shows 'NO VIDEO SIGNAL'. I guess the app is to show OEM Display information like Settings, Oil level etc. Thank you.

Great vid, how did you get the wifi tethered through the Bluetooth?
From memory, I think I just setup a wifi hotspot on my phone and connected the CC3 wifi to that. I don't have the car anymore so can;lt check I'm afraid.
Wow, I can't wait to get mine. One question though: If I have a factory rear camera, would I be able to keep it? Were you able to keep other of the car's features like USB ports?
My car didn’t have either. It would depend on your connections I guess mate. Might be best getting it installed by a pro.
Yes you are able to retain all factory installed features!
Yes, you can, but it depends on the car, so look it up for your specific car. My car (Dodge Grand Caravan) can keep the factory camera with an extra $5 adapter, steering wheel controls comes with the Teyes kit for it, but I don't think I can use the factory microphones though.

If there any difference in the versions other than the storage for the 32GB, 64GB and 128GB?
Check the website but from memory the lower storage versions have lower RAM (which is important on an Android unit)

Is the quality of the music played better than on the original serial radio ? The volume and bass quality is very good.
Not in mine but I had a cheap aftermarket amp fitted due to the Audi system failing. A better amp would probably make a big difference as well as some careful fiddling with the EQ etc.
What about screen brightness/glare against direct sun light? I've had another Android head unit before, and it was so dim that I couldn't see a think in a bright day

Is there a chance you could get one of those and do a comparison of the two units..

Hi nice review! I decided to buy this head unit watching your review (for an audi tt mk2), but I have a problem, coz everything works but it doesn’t make any sound… it turns on and works fine but I cannot play music in it. I own a none bose version (so with standard sound system). Could you please help me out? Thank you very much
I can’t really mate, I had no sound in mt TT when I bought it, nothing at all even with the original Audi head unit and eventually had the whole stereo system rewired and got a new third party amp before this went in. Send an email to Teyes and ask for support, otherwise an auto electrician might be able to help.
From memory one of the fuses in the car is for the Audi amp, might be worth checking that as a first step.

What are the viewing angles like from all directions please?
I don’t have the car anymore and only viewed it from drivers seat. Good I would guess though, you can’t get much of an angle on it in a little TT.
Has anyone used cc3 for an extended period? Seems too good for the money. Just got one myself yesterday.

How did you get Google maps on the home screen instead of Yandex maps? Is it the standard launcher?
It came that way for me

@@neiliewheeliebin I know they're extremely customisable, in fact any of these Android platforms appear to be so I'm sure you'll find the answer. You could always go for a different launcher too I guess. Good luck!

@@DefinitelyNotAGuru no he's right there is a response delay wonder what the hz or refresh rate is on the screen. Must be emulating carplay instead of it running natively.
Nice looking head unit. Jim you need to have a shave, get a push up bra and wear a wig. Set of Turkish teeth implants would also finish it off. :)
That's exactly what I'm doing with the money when I sell it. Getting my lips inflated too to finish the look.
