    Thanks so much for your advice. I've never worn make-up but now with a recent rosacea flare-up I think I need to start. I'm experiencing a steep learning curve though, especially with rosacea and sensitive combination skin, and mature skin. Your reviews are very helpful.

    Application makes a huge difference with the CC Cream, you get fuller coverage using a brush, sponges tend to sheer it out, that's what I find.

    • @claudiaoliveira9090

      Holly Andrews yup was what a thought. A kabuki brush, flat on the top is the ideal one, and maybe use the beauty blender around the face, one the areas with less redness.

      @@claudiaoliveira9090 I use that exact brush! Looks amazing applied with it!

    I use mineral powder. It feels so much lighter on my skin, covers my redness; protects me from the hot sun in the summer. Some of my favorite brands are the Bellaterra (expensive but amazing: I get it when it is 50% off!); and the Heresy Cosmetics (Etsy) has a full coverage mineral powder that works incredibly well and is very reasonably priced (samples are silly cheap!). I have other brands I love but these 2 seem to stand out as they provide some very excellent coverage without having to using too many layers which starts to look bad. I also use grass fed tallow and duck fat on my face and it leaves my skin SO amazingly soft and really keeps it feeling great. I do use just a very tiny bit of essential oils (very gentle ones like Lavender, Frankincense, German Chamomile) to soften the tallow scent, but essential oils are tricky with sensitive skin. I tolerate them in very low concentration. I also use a rosewater floral water (hydrosol) and sometimes distilled aloe. I never use any soap or cleansers on my skin. I use the makeup eraser (very gently) or use some of my tallow face fat and a muslin cloth to take off the mineral powder. Overall my skin is so much better than it used to be. I also went carnivore (mostly) 3.5 years ago. I also drink a ton of raw milk; which my body just loves. Everyone is so different. I had severe oxalate damage (had them coming out my nose at one point) and recently learned that oxalates can seriously damage the vascular system and cause rosacea in some people. So crazy.

    I love the bye bye redness much more than the CC. I loved the products in 2015 but it feels like they have changed over the years.

    Hi Lex 🙋🏻 I love the look of the bye bye redness so I had a peek at the ingredients as I avoid perfume and alcohol in my face products. It seems ok and the only citrus is grapefruit seed oil which I think is meant to be beneficial and not cause a reaction. I might try it! I am loving BareMinerals BarePro liquid foundation as it has no nasties, covers well and lasts all day at work! Thanks for video xx

    I have combo skin and rosacea, but just on my cheeks. I like to use the Bye Bye Redness just on the worst areas, then the CC cream to even out my skin tone.

    • @TalontedLex
      @TalontedLex  6 років тому +2

      Sorry for the late reply! I don't mind layering products and would probably do the same as you, but I think it's silly for them to advertise the CC cream as 'high coverage' when it's low-medium! x

    I agree with you about the CC cream. I find it barely covers anything. I find it is a disaster on my oily skin as well. I look like a waxy melting mess withing 30 minutes of wearing it. I mix bye bye reddness with my estee lauder double wear for my redder areas (I have rosacea) and it woks well. But, I have to be careful because of the thickness of it that it doesn't go cakey. I also find it's a tich dark, but mixing it with estee lauder tones it down. I'll get the lighter colour in the bye bye next time.

    • @TalontedLex
      @TalontedLex  6 років тому

      I was so surprised! Have you tried the ELDW Light? I wore that on my wedding day and picked it because the ELDW original foundation was a bit too heavy and cakey for me, perhaps that could be a good option for you if you don't want to blend? It's brilliant coverage but just a lighter formula x

    • @nicoleburak7071
      @nicoleburak7071 6 років тому

      Talonted Lex I’m very tempted now that you have mentioned it. Is the coverage similar then? What about oil control. I’m an oil factory. Like that DW helps me stay matte and doesn’t break up. Anything less cakey or that doesn’t feel like makeup would be great though. I only have issues with DW if I’m not really careful about applying it. Thin layers are key. Also key is primer.

    You seem very lovely! First time watching! I know this is old, but I wanted to let you know that the bye bye redness is not meant to be used alone. It is meant to be worn under your foundation or the cc cream. I hope this helps!:)

    • @TalontedLex
      @TalontedLex  4 роки тому +2

      You're very kind, thank you! As mentioned in some of the comments above, IT Cosmetics themselves say it can be used as a foundation, plus with the coverage it gives I definitely wouldn't want to put anything over it!

    This review is exactly what I wanted. Thank you. I have just come to accept my rosacea and it’s effects on my life and I’ve been researching products. I wonder though, if you put the CC cream on top of the bye bye redness it’s would take the matte to a more dewy state.

  • @lynntunn

    Bye Bye Redness isn't a foundation though? Perhaps apply it on your cheek redness and layer the CC cream all over would work?

    • @TalontedLex
      @TalontedLex  6 років тому +5

      Thanks for your comment! According to IT Cosmetics BBR can be worn alone or under make up, so it performs as a foundation. You could layer them if you wanted, but as the CC cream is advertised as a full coverage foundation I wanted to let people know the results on my skin. A lot of people prefer a one-and-done approach when it comes to foundation (I don't mind a bit of layering if it gives me the desired result!) so I try to show the results of each products individually x

    • @lynntunn
      @lynntunn 6 років тому +1

      Talonted Lex Have you tried layering the 2? I just got Dr Jart Cicapair recovery cream to try with my BM Complexion Rescue but was wondering if this combo is better. I only have mild Rosacea but after a couple of hours, the redness comes through regardless of what I use. I don't like the feel of full coverage foundations.

    • @cristyv
      @cristyv 6 років тому

      The Cc cream is just that, a colour correcting cream. It Cosmetics does have a separate foundation in the United States not available yet in the UK. The bye bye redness is a neutralizing cream not a foundation, it is meant to be use under makeup for people with mild to moderate redness. I will include the link below for you to see The actual foundation.
      www.itcosmetics.com/bye-bye-foundation-full-coverage-moisturizer/ITC_0025.html#start=3&cgid=face-foundation

    • @TalontedLex
      @TalontedLex  6 років тому +1

      As I mentioned in an earlier comment, It Cosmetics themselves say it can be used as a foundation or just as a targeted corrector. The model on their website advertising the product shows it used all over the face. But, as with most things, it can be used however suits you! Thanks for the link, I'll check it out (although their idea of 'full coverage' doesn't match mine so I'll keep my expectations low!) x

    • @michiebutterfly7785
      @michiebutterfly7785 4 роки тому

      Angel Choir I know this is late, but I do believe that the bye bye redness is meant to put under whatever concealer/moisturizer you are using. The cc cream is meant to put over the bye bye redness for full effect!:) the bye bye redness is basically a treatment with a little bit of color correcting like a tinted moisturizer!:) hope this helps mama

    I am very new to rosacea because it has taken me quite long time to accept that I have it. Mine is mild worse in the winter. I wonder what do people wear in the summer as Foundation? Everything slides off my face or ends up in horrible patches and I give up wearing anything and accept I will look red hot and sweaty.

    • @TalontedLex
      @TalontedLex  5 років тому +3

      On their own website they describe it as a full coverage foundation. I'm aware of the differences between a cc cream and foundations, but if the brand itself describes their product as a full coverage foundation that's what we should expect!

    But the bye-bye redness is not a foundation as a spot treatment you put it very little on the red spots and blend then you put your regular foundation on top that’s the way it supposed to be used thanks

    • @TalontedLex
      @TalontedLex  6 років тому +1

      Nope, according to their own website it's designed to be used to 'cover redness and imperfections' - the model in their own photo has applied it all over her face. It can be used as a small spot cover, or all over!

    Hi, I had Rosacea quite badly, I visited my GP for something unrelated and mentioned I was getting married, the Doctor said, " I see you have Rosacea, would you like something for it? " I didn't know what it was, thought it was to do with stress, had it for years.
    She prescribed me Lymecycline, 408mg a day made by Actavis on prescription.
    That was 4 years ago, it went within 1 month of taking the tablets and has never come back, I still take 1 tablet daily, if I miss one, it makes no difference, it does not come back for me, worth a try?
