I really like the foundation swatches on the glass palette! Usually swatches are sort of pointless because of the bias your own skin tone introduces, but this shows the actual colour well!

MissOyin All skin tones should get their shades! Sometimes I get bothered when I dont see darker or very pale make up products and people are like " why do u care you have your own " but i just can't do that, its not okay and in my opinion companies have no excuse! I wish in the future things will get better with the shades/undertones.

But I'm really red and have acne prone skin.... finding ANY foundation that gives me coverage doesn't make me break out AND actually matches me skin is almost impossible. I took it personally for so long then one day I stopped looked st the colour ranges and went "so... tan-ish. They like tan-ish. Not black. Not pale. Goddamnit! This isn't fair if one company just ONE company could make a product range that went from paper to midnight in ANY understand it would be amazing. And I think so many of us would rise in support it would make enough money it could release the other tone ranges. Lol. -.- sadly the amount of capitol that would require. Oy. Tati does support a lot of more indie brands and she's working to mention them more but like she said these came in PR. It cosmetics has a weird shade range anyways it's "light" is too dark and it's "dark" is too light!

it cosmetics has said that it's hard to do deeper skin tones because they put a lot of spf in their products ( it's their thing) and it's tough to do that without it looking ashy. not saying it's right, just understandable.
I had skin cancer and wear dark. But it helps with the sun. NYX cosmetics has every woman of color ever. It's fantastic I just got the highlighter. You are very cool.

As someone who had suffered from extreme rosacea for years, the bye bye redness line has been amazing for me. Whatever they are infused with calmed my rosacea more than anything even my dermatologist has done. I would love for them to expand their shade range for the non-redness products. Thanks for sharing the new items!

loving this review! but wow, that is a limited amount of shades! i'm very pale so these shades would be fine for me, but there are barely ANY shades for the darker girls out there. it seems like It Cosmetics has always had a very small variety of dark shades. it's hard to support a brand that doesn't represent or have products for darker people.
Lizzy Smith yeahhhh, there's a problem when I'm the second to darkest shade before I get a tan, and I'm only half black...once I get too much of a tan, everything is over..
Lizzy Smith A large part of the difficulty they have with darker shades is that, at least with the cc+ foundation line, they are 50 spf physical sunscreen. The amount of titanium and zinc needed for that level of spf gives a very grey or ashy appearance, even within the lighter shades. This is an issue across the industry with physical sunscreen, not just this company. That's why most physical spf foundations are a lower spf - the more titanium and zinc you add, the ashier it gets. You can make more darker tones effectively with lower spf. It's probably smarter to just make what you can formulate well than to try to extend the range with darker tones and deal with ashy colors.
It helps so much to have a review for a whole bulk of products from the same brand. When you go to buy makeup you're usually bombarded with a whole display, and it can get overwhelming. It's nice to have a solid reference as to what might be good and what doesn't work. ♥

Your mom likes “IT” for the same reason I do....this makeup line really appeals to the over 50 crowd. Products work well for dry skin and fine lines. And deep ones too! Ha!
Bye bye Redness cream is amazing. However, I have been carefully looking at the price per ounce of It Cosmetics and it is outrageous! Some products are more per ounce than Luxury brands.
I love Tati but I don't like these shade ranges for IT cosmetics. They should even out the colors, not just give 5 white shades and 2 shades that are nowhere close to dark.

Tati, did you say this brand makes a good skin tone range? It Cosmetics makes a wide shade range for your skin tones. For people who look like me & deeper and a piece of copy paper are saying bye bye IT!
BARE You're right - they definitely cater to medium skin tones. I was expecting them to add deeper shades to all their products after L'Oreal bought them out, but so far they've only added one deep shade to a few items. They're also lacking in the fair - light area (they seem to have mostly yellow undertones).
BARE I wouldn't hold my breath for a wider range of deep shades in foundation. Their entire brand story is about foundation that covers rosacea. That's why physical spf is used in such a high number (spf 50) and that amount of titanium and zinc make formulas pull grey and ashy, even the lighter colors. They could make darker tones (and cooler tones) if they reduced the spf or switched to chemical spf. Chemical spf is unfriendly to sensitive skin, though, so I don't see them doing that.

True... like the colors aren't dark enough or light enough and they only have warm/yellowy undertones. I can normally find a shade that works for me and even I can't with this brand.
Omg! The bye bye redness in a pot is amazing! I didn't like it at first but I tried again with a 'light' hand and omg it tones the red down tremendously. Can't wait to try the powder!
It's cool that they have so much product, but that shade range is genuinely awful. I mean those 3 shades of powder looked identical!! Darker skinned people should have equality in cosmetics and shades that companies release.
Slytherin Princess I agree! I also wish they did the opposite and made lighter foundations, too. I can never find a light enough shade so I just add white concealer to everything. It's easier just to buy them separate and make your own. I know they have deepening mix ins as well. I know that doesn't solve the problem but it can help in the mean time.

Lynn Hosinski I am 27, and a skincare junkie with preventive care. I have the full size of the it cosmetics confidence in a cream, and the secret sauce is almost identical to it. Their might be one to two different ingredients, but for the most part, it's the exact same. I'm oily, so it's too heavy for me as a day cream, but great for a night moisturizer.

Bailey Hawkins I had this and it worked but I'm super fair so it didn't work for spot concealing but I lightened it with a bit of foundation and it was better. I prefer Tarte's BB primer because it's not as cakey.

I like IT cosmetics ok but the one thing that makes me not want to give them my money and support them is because they aren't that inclusive I mean why on earth do most their products come in only three shades
Sara Bridges I asked an IT Cosmetics consultant that once and she told me they have a lot of trouble developing shades that doesn't look ashy because they try and make products with high SPF and that doesn't work well with many colors and they don't want to put out a product where say a "medium-light" works amazing and then say a deep-dark works like a completely different product.
Oh my gosh, when I was in 5th grade (about 8 years ago) I would wake up every morning before school and turn on the IT cosmetics infomercials!! My mom couldn't pay the bill but I honestly didn't mind, because the free infomercials were mesmerizing!

I gotta give the owner of the company props for actually having models with imperfect skin to apply her product on. If you have a perfect complexion, how much make up do you actually need?? I consider something "full range" when they have more than just ONE deeper skin tone color. That's always bothered with IT, where are the deep and darker skin tone colors?

I have extremely fair skin so it cosmetics lightest shade is still too dark for me. Even if I am tan too which sucks. I feel for the ladies of colour trying to find a shade to work with their skin. Not enough companies realize that women are not all one shade. Most foundations are in the medium range but that doesn't help us with really fair skin or darker skin.
Have you tried Fenty? Tati reviewed the Galaxy eyeshadow pallet but I don't know if she did the foundations. Anyway, Fenty comes in at least 40 shades for women of all different skin tones. Perhaps one of those will be fair enough for you?

Natalija Savic Me too girl, me too. I don't wear makeup much, even though I'm obsessed, and that's because all makeup, high end and drugstore break me out, no matter what. I always get a face full of clogged pores after wearing makeup lol. My skin has to breathe most of the time, which sucks, because I love makeup, and show it all the time on my channel lol. I do the majority of my videos barefaced lol.
I would love more videos like this where you highlight one brand, and do hits and misses. It really helps out before going shopping to have a general idea what is good and what is not. BTW your makeup always looks so good and on point.
Sooo... Apparently It Cosmetics can come up with a plethora of different products but not shade ranges!! I didn't see one thing I could use as a woman of color! And you kept saying they had a range...bish where?
tyshine33 considering most high end brands tend to be geared towards one skin type (ex: Too Faced is for people with dry to normal skin). There is actually multiple skin types but there are target "all encompassing" skin types. For example, there is sensitive oily skin which most products don't work well with and then there is acne-prone dry skin and many products for dry skin have oil in them which cause breakouts if you have acne prone skin. So far I've found IT Cosmetics is pretty unique in having something for multiple skin types and specific needs.

I am in LOVE with the cleanser it has brightened my skin and gotten rid of the dull haze that other skin care products just couldn't get ride of. So excited to try their new lines I am an IT Costmetics believer!

Your mom likes “IT” for the same reason I do....this makeup line really appeals to the over 50 crowd. Products work well for dry skin and fine lines. And deep ones too! Ha!
I love what I've tried from It cosmetics because the fact that they do not break me out and actually work is no small miracle.
Bye bye Redness cream is amazing. However, I have been carefully looking at the price per ounce of It Cosmetics and it is outrageous! Some products are more per ounce than Luxury brands.

I love Tati but I don't like these shade ranges for IT cosmetics. They should even out the colors, not just give 5 white shades and 2 shades that are nowhere close to dark.

I maybe be wrong since I can't like ask her or other beauty gurus myself. But I feel like people don't care about there being other shade ranges as long as there is their own shade. If there is their shade then there just oblivious to other shades.

Tati, did you say this brand makes a good skin tone range? It Cosmetics makes a wide shade range for your skin tones. For people who look like me & deeper and a piece of copy paper are saying bye bye IT!
Yep, I can't do any of the foundation either. They don't do cool tones either...every foundation product makes me look very yellow.
BARE You're right - they definitely cater to medium skin tones. I was expecting them to add deeper shades to all their products after L'Oreal bought them out, but so far they've only added one deep shade to a few items. They're also lacking in the fair - light area (they seem to have mostly yellow undertones).
unfortunately either too much yellow which turns grey. Undertones are tricky in this brand.
BARE I wouldn't hold my breath for a wider range of deep shades in foundation. Their entire brand story is about foundation that covers rosacea. That's why physical spf is used in such a high number (spf 50) and that amount of titanium and zinc make formulas pull grey and ashy, even the lighter colors. They could make darker tones (and cooler tones) if they reduced the spf or switched to chemical spf. Chemical spf is unfriendly to sensitive skin, though, so I don't see them doing that.
BARE yeah 7 shades is not a wide range. It's 7 shades of slightly tan white girl.
I just love Tatis videos rn because I found out I have cancer Friday night and this really distracts me from thinking too much and I have an appt tomorrow with an oncologist and then a biopsy and i know I'll be listeniing to Tati voice during chemo 💖💖💖

Their shade range always makes me cringe
True... like the colors aren't dark enough or light enough and they only have warm/yellowy undertones. I can normally find a shade that works for me and even I can't with this brand.
Omg! The bye bye redness in a pot is amazing! I didn't like it at first but I tried again with a 'light' hand and omg it tones the red down tremendously. Can't wait to try the powder!
It's cool that they have so much product, but that shade range is genuinely awful. I mean those 3 shades of powder looked identical!! Darker skinned people should have equality in cosmetics and shades that companies release.

Slytherin Princess I agree! I also wish they did the opposite and made lighter foundations, too. I can never find a light enough shade so I just add white concealer to everything. It's easier just to buy them separate and make your own. I know they have deepening mix ins as well. I know that doesn't solve the problem but it can help in the mean time.
It cosmetics is my fav brand, I personally feel that is geared towards more mature women which is nice because it is hard to find makeup for more mature skin was very curious about there SECRET SAUCE protect wish you would of showed that
Lynn Hosinski I am 27, and a skincare junkie with preventive care. I have the full size of the it cosmetics confidence in a cream, and the secret sauce is almost identical to it. Their might be one to two different ingredients, but for the most part, it's the exact same. I'm oily, so it's too heavy for me as a day cream, but great for a night moisturizer.
The Cherokee Gypsy Thanks for the info. It's starting to look like they're coming out with so called 'new' products with higher prices ($20- $30 more) that are nearly identical to their original ones (ie. Bye Bye Foundation and Secret Sauce).
The bye bye redness cream can actually be sheered out. I use this on my "no makeup" days. Just even out my skin tone

Bailey Hawkins I had this and it worked but I'm super fair so it didn't work for spot concealing but I lightened it with a bit of foundation and it was better. I prefer Tarte's BB primer because it's not as cakey.

I like IT cosmetics ok but the one thing that makes me not want to give them my money and support them is because they aren't that inclusive I mean why on earth do most their products come in only three shades
Sara Bridges I asked an IT Cosmetics consultant that once and she told me they have a lot of trouble developing shades that doesn't look ashy because they try and make products with high SPF and that doesn't work well with many colors and they don't want to put out a product where say a "medium-light" works amazing and then say a deep-dark works like a completely different product.
Oh my gosh, when I was in 5th grade (about 8 years ago) I would wake up every morning before school and turn on the IT cosmetics infomercials!! My mom couldn't pay the bill but I honestly didn't mind, because the free infomercials were mesmerizing!
Thanks Tati! Love the hits and misses vids! There have been some IT Cosmetics products I didn't like either.........very drying to my skin anyway. I gotta give the owner of the company props for actually having models with imperfect skin to apply her product on. If you have a perfect complexion, how much make up do you actually need?? I WISH I had a perfect complexion. But, this face has seen lots of sun, before sun damage was really brought to the forefront. Thank you again!

I have extremely fair skin so it cosmetics lightest shade is still too dark for me. Even if I am tan too which sucks. I feel for the ladies of colour trying to find a shade to work with their skin. Not enough companies realize that women are not all one shade. Most foundations are in the medium range but that doesn't help us with really fair skin or darker skin.
Have you tried Fenty? Tati reviewed the Galaxy eyeshadow pallet but I don't know if she did the foundations. Anyway, Fenty comes in at least 40 shades for women of all different skin tones. Perhaps one of those will be fair enough for you?

Natalija Savic Me too girl, me too. I don't wear makeup much, even though I'm obsessed, and that's because all makeup, high end and drugstore break me out, no matter what. I always get a face full of clogged pores after wearing makeup lol. My skin has to breathe most of the time, which sucks, because I love makeup, and show it all the time on my channel lol. I do the majority of my videos barefaced lol.
Although the foundation seem good enough, the shade range is really limited!

tyshine33 considering most high end brands tend to be geared towards one skin type (ex: Too Faced is for people with dry to normal skin). There is actually multiple skin types but there are target "all encompassing" skin types. For example, there is sensitive oily skin which most products don't work well with and then there is acne-prone dry skin and many products for dry skin have oil in them which cause breakouts if you have acne prone skin. So far I've found IT Cosmetics is pretty unique in having something for multiple skin types and specific needs.
tyshine33 IT Cosmetics have small shade range is NOT tati's fault or responsibility. She's a reviewer and she reviewed the product and like it. The quality should not be undermined because of quantity

I wish IT Cosmetics had more shades. I can't wear it. I don't know but I think if a company is going to come out with makeup they need to have shades to fit from the lightest skin tones to the darkest. No sense in making it if most people can't wear it.
