Hafiz, just wanted to say how impressed I've been with your videos. I stumbled across them a few months ago and immediately subscribed. Great narration, in detail measurements on comparative models (ie rolex op), and FINALLY A REVIEWER WHO TAKES TONS OF WRIST SHOTS BOTH AT A DISTANCE AND UP CLOSE. It's been a breath of fresh air and I wanted to make sure you knew it. I've gone ahead and recommended your vids to my watch forum group now! Thanks so much for the support and feedback. Sharing my videos is the best support you can do to me. Thank you for doing this, and sharing the watch love on. It's fellows like yourself that I have grown to be where I am today. I still have a long way to go but I will make sure that my production standards and quality only improve as we go. Thank you my friend.
I like this version SO much more than the standard one. No date, no wave, lighter, thinner, way less shiny flashy polishing and the bracelet is much more interesting to look at. I find the standard 300M ugly but this is sexy. If I could find one for $5k used I’d definitely buy one.
With smaller wrists there is another version of this exact bracelet. Just ask at your boutique and they will replace the bigger one with the smaller one upon purchasing the watch. It is convenient because the bracelet layers are not stacking up, which is the case especially with smaller wrists.
Wow, how time changes things. I read my comment 6 months ago when I derided the 300M bond edition. Having recently tried it on at the boutique, I've fallen in love with it! It's truly what a spy would wear.
It's titanium, and so is the bracelet, that's why it costs more. I had on several 2018 300m steel model on and then tried this watch, and this is far superior, it's thinner, unbelievably light, more comfortable, no wave, no date, and it's not shiney and glossy like the 2018 model's which I really didn't like. This watch looks and feels like a cusp above the the other 300m's, because it is.
Good review.. I almost got the watch and then changed my mind and went the for regular steel model... it’s a great watch but for double the price for the 007 tag like you said.. Steel model on a rubber strap is the best option...
I’ve looked closely at the indices on other videos with the watch to see if the staining is present and it isn’t. You have grounds to return your watch for a replacement. Top marks for pointing this out as I’m considering this watch and small imperfections like this are unacceptable at this price point.
On the list of thing Hafiz does well is on-wrist shots that show his whole arm. Sometimes he adds a section of his lower body to the shot. Extreme close-ups, like the ones shown in pretty much every other video, provide very limited size perspective.
Great macros once more. An idea for a video. How about a highlight reel of what you would consider the best/worst finished dials under macro with your commentary of your experience in person. man, it would be great to see a journe/gronefeld watch here too. But those are really rare ... and the finishing on those are still imperfect, I'll be damned
Ya know, just a thought here that nags at me. People keep kind just saying is it worth “double”, when it’s not double, like it’s just not. It’s not really that close to double even, it’s 70.37% I’m not gonna call the double. What you get for that best I can tell is: exclusive color way and dial, full and unique titanium bracelet in the difficult to machine Milanese style, and case-which a significant upgrade from steel, like that should cost a lot. That stuff is grade 2 Ti it’s no joke, we use it in ultra premium folding knives for hard use. Plus you get full Lum on the bezel which other seamasters do not have. That’s before we even talk about Bond association or the military marks which they had to get UK approval for. Its honestly about appropriately priced. Look at it by the numbers. Seamaster with generic steel dad bracelet etc.=5400 Add lum to bezel- what? 200? Who knows, a lot, like 800-1000+ Add doming to sapphire Crystal- few hundred there Add unique color way and dial..add exclusive markings with permission of government. Let alone the story of this thing, survived the plague directly interfering in its release plans lol. Things got some real potential for price increase. I don’t have one🤷🏻♂️ they are cool, but just looking at the number I mean people knock the price way too much, it’s not out of line here at all.
You nailed it perfectly about the price, its priced just right for what you are getting compared to the Steel model. I have some Titanium folding knives and always glad to pay a premium compared to other materials used in folding Knives. I don't own this watch either but might consider it, its the Aluminium Bezel that's putting me off buying the Watch. If the Bezel was also made of Titanium I would have gladly paid much more for the Watch. You get what you pay for, so if anyone thinks its twice the cost (even though it isn't) get yourself the Steel Watch :)
Great review mate! Great camera work and B Roll footage! I absolutely love this watch, but won’t ever be in a position to get one, so it’s nice to see them being worn and reviewed.
I have a steel seamster and just could not pay the premium for this.... love the no date but why not a ceramic sandblasted bezel..... a scratch waiting to happen.... it is gorgeous but is not for me... not that I could afford it
Hafiz, thanks for this great video. I came across your channel and now it is my point of reference when it comes to watches. KUDOS. Are you planning to review the new Omega Seamaster 300? Would love to see that. Best wishes from Germany, Marc
@@HafizJMehmood Are you planning to review the new Seamster 300 from 2021? Can you already give me your professional opinion on that watch? I highly appreciate it!
The work you do with All those tests is really impressive. Congratulations. If i may suggest a watch from Omega with a wonderful dial to test i would say Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M Worldtimer. With the way you analize dials it would be à stunning vidéo.
I think you're generous when you say that the price difference is 1/2 for the watch and 1/2 for the name. I would have said 10% for the watch (titanium is more difficult to machine) and 90% for the name.
After having owned this model for a year there are only 2 things I would change 1 I’d prefer if it were 1 mm larger in diameter and the date at 6o clock would be preferred .
You don't disappoint. This is the best video review of the watch yet! Great looking macro shots and very weird that yours here have the imperfections on the hour markers whereas all the others I've seen have perfect looking, flawless markers. Also the fact that your crown has the Omega logo lined up straight is just pure luck which only adds to the perfection of this video! 11:10 Only that last bit when you mentioned Omega Speedmaster by mistake.. Lol..
Thanks so much. Tell me about it. I think I even started it saying omega Speedmaster 🤯😅 Got speedy on the lips too much I guess. The logo on crown isn’t lined up in this piece unfortunately. I had loosened the crown to align the logo straight up for the clip.
These are still readily available in December 2020, I ve been offered them by the Omega boutique , limited edition but not limited run, quite a boring looking watch, this wont be lusted after by collectors like the aqua terra to many will be made and sold.
It's not the 007 tag per se that one buys. It's the different design that comes with this particular branding opportunity. The 007 branding is minimal on this one compared to other Bond watches of the past. Most of us wouldn't have known what that arrow mark means on the dial. What's.on the back doesnt bother me much but that's just me. Dont think you can make a direct comparison to the regular seamaster. Having the same movement doesnt mean it's the same watch. Different material to create this design means a different watch for me. Probably not everyone.
Thanks for mentioning. Will be conscious for sure. For now, the mistakes probably just confirm that I’m a human, one man show, and someone who talks watches enough to cause slip of tongue :)
@@HafizJMehmood And when pronouncing the faux patina, the x is silent (sounds more like " fo patina") . Not a mistake, but a minor detail if you want to change for later reviews. Nice review and photography!
Hello, I really appreciate your videos. Always incredible videography and elegantly presented information!! It would be amazing to see you review an H. Moser watch. Any of their classic dress watches or maybe the newly introduced sporty Streamliner collection specifically the 3 hand green dial. Please consider it. Thanks again.
Another very informative review. I really like the Seamaster in general, but for this one I’m not a fan of the bracelet and am a bit put off by the price as compared to the steel diver 300.
Yeah, also not a fan of the bracelet, at least not for a $1,100 premium. I think that if this was reasonably more than the standard watch - like 25-50% more, then I might jump on one, but 100% more just seems ridiculous.
Some parts of the markers and hands, have a dirty look to make it vintage. So you pay 9000 for a imperfect watch and also waiting for scratches on the bezel.
Thanks for reviewing. Regarding the bracelet, my wrist is about 6.75" so about the same as yours. Was the bracelet flopping around when you move your wrist because it was hanging down so much? (Around 10:26 mark). Or is it because you left it looser on purpose or it didn't contour and bend enough? I'm interested in it but worried about the bracelet for smaller wrists like ours.
Hi. It doesn’t contour or hug the wrist as nicely as other watches with let’s say oyster or jubilee on Rolex would do. As I mentioned in my wrist shot, there was a bit of air space even when I was wearing it. And I didn’t wore it loose. It was right/snug for my wrist. It doesn’t as such flop around as it’s very light but it wouldn’t sit without any airgaps between your wrist and bracelet either, especially for smaller wrist due to limitation with minimum bend on the bracelet.
Hi Hafiz, this will probably be the second watch you’ve convinced me to buy. The first being the Explorer II! I wanted to check, does this have AR coating on the top of the crystal?
Fantastic video as always. I quite like the watch. I think it would make a wonderful addition to a collection but to me, not at double the price of a 300M
A very objective, well organised and produced review. The concern is the stains on the hours markers, these stains represent manufacturing defects. I would return the watch to get it exchanged or the dial exchanged. One question though; if ever was the watch returned to Omega for these defects to be addressed, would the watch certification be repeated / updated ? In principle and further to metrology standard procedures an instrument certification becomes void as soon as said instrument was opened.
That’s correct. It isn’t. I didn’t say it’s Limited Edition, I meant it’s supply is limited (if that makes sense). Thanks for the feedback tho. Probably I should have avoided the word limited altogether.
@@HafizJMehmood Nice review. I went to see this one but ended up getting the great white sea master instead. Half the price and just so nice on the wrist.
Mesh bracelets may be comfortable, but the gaps between the lugs and bracelet always was a hard “no go” for me. Plus it just makes it look like the watch is suppose to be a ladies watch to me. Maybe it’s because I see that type of bracelets on watches targeted to females. I dunno.
At this price point I would also expect a higher grade titanium , more scratch resistant. They used a pretty basic grade titanium , cheaper of course, which will be more prone to scratching . They should have kept the same design on the bracelet as the steel model and just made it in titanium . By using the mesh style bracelet they probably save money by using less titanium so more profit....Not a bad looking watch and love the fact that it so light, but way overpriced,. A couple of grand more fine, but double , they are having a laugh....
Exactly what I was thinking, Omega really produces interesting watches but neither quality follows the price range nor they are really brand that should push that price levels...
Sorry but a links bracelet would have spoiled the look of this watch. I think the mesh looks gorgeous and contributes to the understatement of its design.
Nice review, still I would chose the standard line in black/white. Your shots are great. Only thing that I found negative is around 6 ad‘s on a 12min video is too much.
masterly review again hafiz! even though i am a bond fan, omega clearly is trying to take advantage of the hype. that bracelet looks too outdated to me and obviously wears poorly . at least it keeps chronometric time.
No because it isn't a limited edition and is widely available at boutiques at their standard retail price. It would be daft to pay for it more elsewhere if you can get it at retail price via the boutique or AD's. The watch will be available for at least another 2 or 3 years, or until the next Bond movie comes around.
Great review! Just a few observations: 1. The arrow is perhaps the mark of the Bond family rather than of the army. 2. I guess there is no anti-reflective coating on the watch? I did not see but please confirm. 3. I agree that the seamaster bezels in general are difficult to turn. Thanks and looking forward to your feedback.
Thanks for watching. For your observations: 1. I don’t think that the arrow has any relationship with Bond family. 2. The crystal does have AR coating but only on the inside. Cheers.
Good looking watch but at over $9k US for a Seamaster? No thanks. I've moved from just being an admirer and collector to servicing watches myself and the build difference start to show and between the tinny click on case bezel design to the pressed in crown tube to the ETA modified non in-house Swatch owned movement, Omega is not a Submariner and should not be near the same price. You want a nice Seamster at a reasonable price? Buy a pre owned 2254.50 or a 2531.80.
@@adrianobanak2824 Ok. Hear me out. It depends on how you define "in-house". Yes ETA SA is owned by the The Swatch Group as is Omega along with several other brands including Breguet, Harry Winston, Blancpain, Glashütte Original, Jaquet Droz, Léon Hatot, Omega, Longines, Rado, Union Glashütte, Tissot, Balmainthat, etc. that also utilize ETA modified movements with brand specific stampings and part numbers. Omega obtains their movement by ETA which is within the group yet is also identified as a Separate stand alone entity. This is not the same as Rolex which is one of the few brands classified as in house. I'll also add the bezel wire on case prong click action design, pressed in crown tube instead of threaded are all money cost cutting techniques compared to Rolex. Don't get me wrong. The new no date Bond Omega Seamaster 007 is a gorgeous watch and I love my 2254.50 and 2531.80 Seamasters, I'm just not sure it worth the $9k asking price but we often say the same about the Submariner. To answer you first question, I don't drugs unless you consider Coffee a drug. If you can constructively respond with valid points supporting your argument without accusation such as impairment, I am open to changing my opinion on the matter.
They think that Daniël Graig helped Omega to make this design. When it is true, the designers of Omega brands, can go home! They call it marketing. It is a beautiful watch but overpriced. They try to invite people who wanted a Rolex submariner. And what about five years? There is a new Bond watch! Are you sure to invest this money for five years?
Also it is really funny when a symbol of british army / ministry of defence is used in bond watch .. imagine... an indian men or ex british colonization country where the omega fanboy wear this watch 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.. ooo shittt racism as its best.. means u cannot run from us ....

One question though; if ever was the watch returned to Omega for these defects to be addressed, would the watch certification be repeated / updated ? In principle and further to metrology standard procedures an instrument certification becomes void as soon as said instrument was opened.
I don’t think it’s limited though.
I dunno.
I got the milanaise bracelet for my Junghans Max Bill and it is incredibly gorgeous.
Good review man! That bezel grip is ridiculous for a dive watch in my opinion.
Great video! I‘m thinking about to buy this watch instead of a Rolex DJ41
Did you buy this?
Would love for you to do one on the planet ocean 600m chrono!
So beautiful!!!
Nice review, still I would chose the standard line in black/white. Your shots are great. Only thing that I found negative is around 6 ad‘s on a 12min video is too much.
Do one for Tudor Chrono SG
I hate that valve knob and the overly custard lume, and the blacked out hands.
masterly review again hafiz! even though i am a bond fan, omega clearly is trying to take advantage of the hype. that bracelet looks too outdated to me and obviously wears poorly . at least it keeps chronometric time.
It s a special one😊, on the Nato strap a bomb...
Do you think the price/value of this watch will increase after the movie comes out next week??
No because it isn't a limited edition and is widely available at boutiques at their standard retail price. It would be daft to pay for it more elsewhere if you can get it at retail price via the boutique or AD's. The watch will be available for at least another 2 or 3 years, or until the next Bond movie comes around.
Thank you for an excellent review. I am not buying due to faux patina, broad arrow and too expensive. Money is better in a Submariner.
The sub is double the price of this, is this double the watch, I dont think so. But if you can get one at retail, well, I did not say anything 😅
@@minhkhoinguyen88 despite my comments I did buy the Omega, great watch, how fickle I am
I don t care about the bond thing at all. The design is great that helium escape valve though
so will this watch increase in price over the years or depreciate fast?
Great review! Just a few observations:
1. The arrow is perhaps the mark of the Bond family rather than of the army.
2. I guess there is no anti-reflective coating on the watch? I did not see but please confirm.
3. I agree that the seamaster bezels in general are difficult to turn.
Thanks and looking forward to your feedback.
The arrow represents the three branches of the British Armed Forces (Army, Royal Navy, and Royal Air Force).
That first observation seems rather odd indeed
Thanks for watching. For your observations:
1. I don’t think that the arrow has any relationship with Bond family.
2. The crystal does have AR coating but only on the inside.
Cheers.
@@HafizJMehmood Perfect, thanks.
That is a Ministry of Defence arrow. Nothing to do with Bond's family.
Excellent piece, but $9K is kinda steep for no ceramics.
Plus you are paying $1,100 of that just for the bracelet, which is... meh, just okay. It seems like the nato version is a better relative value.
Lume floats my boat! 🚢
ETA modified movement? :)) Are you stoned? Omega uses in-house movements since 2007.
Good reply 24 Hour but I don't think the gentleman was literally saying you were stoned lol
Speedmaster!!!???! ;)
Haha. Yeah I know. Hate the slip of tongue 😅
