Hey Adrian love the content man! Would love to see a in depth video series from pulling layout to finished sheeting on a hip roof and or irregular hip roofs thanks man
I miss my framing days somewhat . The crazier the frame and more intense the happier I was . Cancer pounced on me and I had to hang up my belt . My friend who is probably the smartest carpenter I ever knew gave it up last year . He had bought a crane , GPS total stations, Ran CAD.. Would take the plans and make them color by number crayola . He went total NASA on framing . Won awards , made builders rich and was renowned on The East Coast as The Best . He is now borderline insane .

Are you done with the front facing pouches, or are they for different parts of the job? I always thought it would be more fun to frame with lighter bags like that, but my coworkers would have forsure given me shit. Anyway, thanks again for the rad videos.
I go back and forth but I haven’t found a front facing pouch that holds up more than a couple months. I’ve had the same Klein ballistic bags for almost a yr so far
Thanks for this content. I need some advice. I have a passion for carpentry, though I’ve never worked in the profession. I’m a college grad that also wants to learn these valuable skills. I almost enrolled in a trade school after getting my degree, but was told apprenticeships were a much smarter option. So I’ve read two big vocational textbooks to acquire some knowledge and feel confident I could work as a laborer/apprentice. I’ve gone into lumber yards to look for work, I’ve met with many GC’s that own new home construction businesses and have offered them FREE honest work just get some experience. I havent gotten any luck!! Both textbooks I read included a getting started chapter that said to do exactly what I did. It seems like ever single job in building “sub-sub-sub-sub contracted.” That and where I live in South Carolina, there’s a lot of green card workers that GC’s hire for their lower wages and lack of need to provide health insurance. Where can I find an apprenticeship? There’s this huge lie going around that the trades are “dying”. Well where I live seems like every damn framing position is filled just fine. Many Thanks.
Howdy Framing Beast! I have a few questions: (1) What is the name of ur Framing Nailer gun? (2) What are the best Framing Nailer guns you would recommend? Thank you in advance.
How often do you make mistakes, like setting beams out of place or taking wrong measurements, placing walls and windows on the wrong spot?is making mistakes a common thing in framing?
What’s more common is last minute changes in plans And no a guy like this typically doesn’t make mistakes Framing is a pretty low tolerance gig anyways 1/8 in is a mile for a machinist But again no one is perfect neither is the lumber
It happens everyone’s human but when you do the same style of houses it prevents a lot of errors. You know that the closets are 2 ft and that they want 59.5 for the tubs and 8 inch clear for the drains. Stuff like that helps
He wouldn’t be a framing beast if he made mistakes Measure twice cut once.. But really the difference between a mediocre framer and a beast is if he can catch the mistakes and fix them
@@framingbeast720 when I comes to do layouts do you let your guys help with layouts or you dont let anyone else but yourself to do layouts,? And also how big is your crew?
@@joelethalcruz4417 are you serious? On our crew it’s every man for himself. We are only 3 guys so we pick a section of the house and frame away solo. If can’t work by yourself then go work at McDonald’s. And no mistakes rarely happen in competent crews.

Love all the vids man!! All of em. hope you are having a stellar week up there
You forgot to PLP that girder together, lol. Jk much respect for vids and skill level!

Going from 'the best' to borderline insane seems strange...

try to contact the trade school in your area. They usually have a list of employers who will hire pretty much anyone.
what are you favorite gloves to wear while framing ? and do the gloves change with the seasons ?
👍
Great job which camera gear you use how does camera flip 4:45 to 6:00 minutes is that go pro ? Or additional setup
Go pro 9 but I’ve figured out how to switch that option off

With the price of nails i dont know anyone who would even have put half that amount of nails into that gable.
Girder? We don’t have a choice. Inspector gets what inspector wants
@@framingbeast720 on my project in charlotte nc the gable gurder truss gets nail zig zag nails every 3 inches front and back
