Tim Thomerson sounds like one of the names I usually give to the cops.
Tom Soliver and Tomas Oliver.. 😂😂
Tim Tom and Kevin
Kevin Kelvin, lol
Cory Trevorson.
Tom's oliver
Bill looked at him like "yeah, that's imaginable. That's how time.and age work, Bill."
Nothing like a hacky dad joke in a smug tone of voice.
it's a reference to some banter earlier in the podcast
Yeah he's full of himself
Bill Maher still chases women in their 20s, it's a known thing in LA. He's such a goof.
He's referring to what Bill said earlier 🤦♂️
I guess that’s where the expression “you can’t take a joke” came from! 😂
Well said..
Good one!😮😂
This makes zero sense lol.
that’s why they call it the comedy store
Cause you can buy comedy
Yeah at the time retail theft wasn't through the roof
Criminally underrated comment
And not the super happy friendship store
✝️ *God offers forgiveness of sins through His Son Jesus Christ. Repent and believe in the good news of Jesus Christ unto eternal life.*
✝️ *For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,*
I Corinthians 15:3-4 NKJV
✝️ *that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.*
Romans 10:9 NKJV
The next day, Robin Williams auditioned for “Popeye”.
“You know what they say; Speak ill of the dead!” - Norm -
I don’t get how people get mad at Bill Maher when he makes shitty jokes like , “if you can imagine he’s older than me” he’s a simple idiot, he’s not edgy, his humor is for PBS
It was like hockey. It was settled on the ice 😂🤣
😭😭😭
Bill is my favourite hockey fan.
It's funny because Bill M. hates Hockey. Doesn't think it's a sport (ie when Lance Armstrong was on and another time when Jimmy Kimmel mentioned being a possible minority owner of the Anaheim Ducks).
I love that Bill Burr loves Hockey
😂😂It's like Hockey
I love Bill Burr. Incredible comedian. His kindness is obvious as he still finds the time to hang out with this creep.
bill burr sits like he’s waiting on milk and cookies😂 boutta slide out the chair
I have never heard anyone say Robin Williams maliciously stole material, especially when you consider the gigantic body of work he left behind. We all know that no comic can be successful in stolen material, I do believe Bill and Bill know what's up.
So what you're saying is, that Chris Rock stole Will Smith's joke?
Ya damn right he did because he didn't marry her first!
What's the difference between 2 dicks and a joke?
Will Smith can't take a joke!
@@MichaelEnniswardjrgood fucking joke my guy lol 😆 if only will could laugh at it.
@@valeriebasta7983 yeah I can literally hear Rock saying that lol I'm boring though I believe no one should cheat. Get better or get a divorce.
Come on Maher, we all know Robin stole jokes, you don't have to pretend it was a subconscious accident. He stole. Period.
Why would he steals periods? They sound awful to have.
@@alex31245 cause back then they're was no way for people to check you on it unless they confronted you personally. A good joke then could literally be huge in your career so it was pretty serious.
No, Robin constantly improvised and occasionally wound up repeating jokes he heard somewhere else; upon learning that he had incidentally lifted a joke from someone, he issued an apology and wrote a check to reimburse them for the joke. This is mentioned in at least a few his biographies and he discussed it in interviews, too. Robin Williams never intentionally stole from another comedian. Period.
In Bill’s defense he was being sarcastic.
@@michaelconway2024 really? I didn't get that vibe but 🤷🏾♂️
Imagine taking snack about one of the most beloved people in existence because he's dead and you've got no real evidence, but you want to put your name up there next to his like you were ever equals.
Old saying that Lou Costello stole curly Howard material and based his child character off curly however to his dying day curly held no animosity nor did moe because coming up in vaudeville every one stole from every one. It was who could do it best. That’s was the gentleman’s agreement back then. Today very much different.
Robin worked so fast that he didn't have time to analyze "where" the joke came from - his own creativity or something he heard. He just said it and rapidly moved on. Stealing jokes is a major crime among comics, but I think that Robin's intentions were innocent.
I find this one really strange because Thomerson actually appeared in an episode of Mork and Mindy, which I’m sure Robin made happen
Why is BM dressed like Ed Grimley?
Totally mental I must say.
That's funny
It isn't.
"When Stand Up Stood Out" is A fantastic documentary about boston comedy
look with how improvised mork and mindy was, i get how you'd end up saying something you heard recently
How on earth are you supposed to know every joke that has ever been told? How do people not think that maybe its possible for 2 people to have similar experiences that made them come up with similar jokes? Its like music too... some songs are gonna sound like another song no matter how you try to make it different.
Sure, but you can still steal a joke. It's still possible. That'd be something you'd discuss in the interval between the guy punching you, and Robin Williams writing them a cheque.
No one comes with the same joke word for word
It’s funny to hear two girls talking about how real men are supposed to act
It's funny to see some guy front SO hard and then get ignored. Usually a sign of over-compensating.
RIP Robin Williams. He was a great entertainer, actor, and renowned joke thief. There are people who have worse flaws in life.
I can imagine Robin W telling a joke that got him punched the F out.
"You don't look a day over 75. But then when you walk, people can see your diaper."
Thought Bill was smoking a fat blunt in the thumbnail.
Much respect to this man bill burr
This is the nicest way to call someone a thief.
I love Robin Williams, but he was known in the stand-up world as a proven joke thief.
The excuses for Robin Williams from what’s his face sounds exactly like when Roger Clemens said Andy “Misremembered”
You are 100% more likely to steal if you don't think you'll get caught..
this show sucks. except when Burr rips Maher on his bs
Be real, you don't listen to it
@@chardbeauregarde Yeah cuz it sucks lol
@@LordVader1094 cool so it's an uninformed opinion lol
Bro..Robin Williams was jus the GREATEST
Katt Williams tried to say this stuff and people call it race baiting.... it's simply respecting people hardworking.
Don't steal jokes.
Don't steal at all.
When you're talking about forgiveness and reconciliation it made me think of how I will feel forgiveness for a person, and then when I am hurt in the same way by their actions the forgiveness I had felt leaves me. As I type this I realize I do the same to God when I change a habit and ask forgiveness and then fall back on old habits
We all fall short of his glory. We aren't ever going to be perfect, the goal is to always be better. Batman can't save everyone, he saves everyone he can and always tries to save more.
You don't mess with Jack Deth
Robin Williams learned to not steal from the Dollman!
Geeeewizzzz We have Joke Mafia😂
And Robin accepted it. Didnt press charges.
I’m sure it was more blatant than just a subconscious impression
"SETTLE IT ON THE ICE!" ❄️
Who said he was wrong Bill??
Uh.. the law?
More clips like this! Not that sage Steele junk!
Burr holding that cigar like it's a dog turd.
"I just do what the TV tells me."
- Bill Bootlicker Burr
Settled like men. Kids today .....😅😅😅
Robin wasn't even a writer on "Mork & Mindy." And sure, he could have given the bit to somebody who was, but you'd think Tim would have confirmed he was the one responsible before punching him, of all things. Comedians, writers, directors, producers all go to the Comedy Store -- any one of them could have lifted it.
Bill Burr badass Bostonian. Lay it down for real holmes
Bills best interview was when he interviewed the whack pack. That is the limit of bills talent. Interviewing the whack pack.
Eddy merckx was punched in the face for riding his bicycle in the tour de France. In the tour. By a protester of the tour. Imagine being punched in the face while suffering for riding a bicycle. Insane...
Bowser & Blue did a bit for a Christmas special back in the 90s about Jesus being Jewish. Robin used the same joke on his Live On Broadway special in 2002. Still love Robin Williams, but I always thought that seemed a little weird. I didn't think anyone outside of Canada had even heard of Bowser & Blue, yet they both had the same joke?
For anyone who cares, the Christmas special was called Two Nuts Roasting On An Open Fire
And that, kids, is how Robin Williams learned the true meaning of "punchline".
(This joke is partially stolen)
Robin had a regular habit of stealing jokes. He did it in front of the actual comedians sometimes just to prove that he told it better. He was a great comedian, but was also a piece of work🤨
Men are men not by the rules they follow but by the principles they stand on.
Rules are just guidelines to not break certain principles however even rules are not 100% concrete to the principles
if comedians think they are entitled to an audience then they don't get to choose who is in it
Ah, now I see why Bill Burr was in the thumbnail.
Bill Burr looks like he wants to punch the other Bill
I love how pretentious bill maher is and how he thinks he’s smarter than everyone.
…and by love I actually mean hate. What a boring, old, Hollywood brown noser.
Watching the wonderful bill burr dice him up six ways was a highlight of the week.
People don't know what respect means anymore
Me and my friends made up a fake sex move. We called it the Tim Thomerson. I had no idea he was a real person.
Why didn't he just get whoever it was a writing credit on the show? I suspect the answer is, 'easier said than done'. And he shouldn't have stolen jokes in the first place. I'm just curious if he ever tried to pay people back for their material later in his career or whatever?
Why you simping so hard for a celebrity lol? He of course never did anything you're theorizing. He stole a couple jokes, got hit for it, so what.
@@BoredLikeHelI he's not simping, he was wondering if he payed for the stolen jokes. Reading the comments, people said he did.
I'm from Edmonton. "Settled like hockey" is awesome. On the ice 🥅 is where settling it belongs.
Yeah, ok blue collar tough guy. LMAO.
Tell me one comedian that wasn’t cursed by those that went before them.
A couple of tough guys
Bill burr is the goat
No one is safe from the consequence of joke theft. 🤜😣
If Bill Maher says it TAKE IT WITH A GRAIN OF SALT
I wonder what Joke he stole to get murdered.
This is that podcast where they debated over Palestine lol. Was great
How Bill managed to make this about Boston, I’ll never know.
I love robin but he was coked out at that time, so I can believe it 😂
As much as I always liked Thomerson's comedy, I must say, he stole A LOT of other comedians' bits. Especially Cheech & Chong.
...Robin Williams is still alive and currently plwying the role of Bono from U2 and the president of argentina. He has a few other charecters as well. Quit believing everything your told...
Bill Burr is not from Boston. He's from Canton.
I feel like I could feel the hatred saving from Bill Burr to this other guy whose name escapes me at the moment LMAO
Bill Burr had the opportunity to do the funniest thing in the world to punch out Bill Maher mid-sentence and missed it
I didn't even know Thomerson was a comedian. Seen him on tv for years in various character stuff. Well ok, now we know.
Amy Schumer would look like Stallone at the end of Rocky if she was around then.
To be fair, it seemed like Robin Williams was always ON. I dont think I've ever seen him not just going on and on and fucking about and whatnot. At least on camera. Even when doing press for his movies that were dramatic, and sometimes even disturbing, he's just constantly riffing. He's great at improv, but when you're just telling jokes constantly, all fucking day every day, it makes sense that you might throw in someone else's joke as some filler. That sucks if he used them on Mork and Mindy though
I heard Carlos Mencia steals other comedians material and no one punched him.
Sure! Now Comics are tough guys…😂
I stand on that and if you talk shit you get hit
Maybe the actual reason why Will smack Chris was because he took his joke about his wife
Do that to Joe Rogan 😂
As far as I'm concerned, Robin can have those jokes. Tim who?
Daaaang, I'm always telling jokes I've heard other people tell. 😬
John Witherspoon said Robin use to get his ass kicked all the time in the black comedy clubs for still black comics jokes. Dude was just a thief
Shocking bill burr in a chair relaxing honestly he should be demoted back to third spot on fallon’s couch
I thought Tim Tomerson was some kind of Canadian restaurant or coffee shop chain...
Tim Thommerson reminds me of that one country song, “Take Timmy Tommy, Jimmy, Jommie, take my best friend, Mo. But daddy, please, don’t take the girl.”
Or some sh*t like that.
Hey bold balls Billy.
Be very careful when talking about the most beloved comedian of all time. The public is still sensitive about Williams. One of the most original comedians per capita, not even close. Whether he lifted a joke or two is besides the point. Everyone has. His whole act was his own, he wasn’t mencia ffs
Am I the only person who never thought Robin Williams was funny? During that era Dennis Leary was my go to guy.
Everyone was surprised Robin Williams was good with drama. I was surprised he was good with rope.
He sounds like Frank Murphy 😊
Wait….What kind of “Ice”? 😂
I’m tired of hearing crap about robin williams.
There aren’t many “original” jokes.
Part of comedy, is putting your spin on it.
Complain all you want,
But NOBODY could do it like Robin.
He did it BETTER than anyone.
These two guys sitting here act like they don’t have teams of writers.
Robin Williams is a legend.
He was always 90 to nothing.
Of course stuff gets regurgitated.
Sorry Robin that people misunderstood you.
You were special.
And yet, this is the first time I've ever hear of Tim Timmerson. Joke couldn't have been that good. Musicians, writers, painters, sculptures etc all copy from one another. This is how these arts have been able to progress over millennia. Now we have comics who think they own a funny sentence or a concept of something funny. They're fragile because they're aware of how loosely the term "art" applies to their craft.
"Rest his soul"? That's the last thing I would expect an atheist to say.
Maher managed to fit in a humblebrag about knowing comics and being at the centre of everything, and a reference to himself and his age, in an anecdote about two totally unrelated people. You gotta laugh... except it's Bill Maher.
I dont think stolen jokes is what helped williams fame
