Thanks to New Sounds for introducing me to your incredible music. Been a fan of American Primitive since the 70's and you have added another layer to composition and performance.
Learned about the artist and the album through this week's New York Times Playlist. I'm glad they featured her, otherwise I would have missed out on hearing her fantastic guitar playing. Cymru am byth!
I know right!!! I just learned of her a couple days ago from a podcast by Tony Polecastro where she was placed #1 in his Top Ten American Primitive guitist list. I know she in not American but she does sell describe her style that way. I can't get enough.
I love it! Discovered you from 6 music , great play list recently too (was my Christmas soundtrack, cos you know nothing says Christmas like English folk horror and Japanese guitar noise hell. Deck the halls!). You've inspired me to pick up my instruments again, thank you 🙏
Gwenifer, WOW! I have literally sat at the feet of Doc Watson, Norman Blake, Tommy Emmanuel, Tony Rice, and many others. You have the gift and the discipline. Your music is mesmerizing. I hope to see you in the USA (MerleFest?) once Covid19 is under control. Brad
i just found a new pleasant combo to add in my Dirty Daily Habits list, and that would be watching you while i sip a very generous bloody mary.. may be the first of many.. shall be! cheers, everyfuturedeadbody
This is just beautiful so I thank you for your dedication to your art. It is so powerful. But I have a question... you must go through thumbpicks like nobody's business... what thumbpicks do you use? Some magick indestructible one or something?

This girl met the devil at the crossroads, whacked him on the head and stole his guitar. I am in awe.
Damn! That's the way to do it!. Just sit down and play the whole album (?) from one end to the other. Fantastic music too. I dig it!
The Astrophysicist has taken us to another universe.
My favorite living guitarist.
Ditto.

Utterly magnificent. Such a rare thing to hear a guitar played so beautifully. It penetrates the soul.

Being wonderfully serenaded by the creature from the well in The Ring.
Individual and exceptional.. staggeringly unique
A rare talent in both writing and playing
That was awesome ! Totally rolled me into my other brain!
I am so smitten by your playing. Also the tunings and primitive style are at next level! What balm for the soul.
Happy New Year, Gwenifer. Please come to NYC and play your guitar in 2021.
The places this music goes....

This music comes at a time when I really need to get out of head. Thanks to the NY Times!!
Welsh Primitive at its best! Can’t wait for my vinyl to arrive.
Magical. From a long time Fahey fan, I first heard you cover Uncloudy Day but you truly have found your unique voice. All power to you.
I have to come by every couple of weeks to "re-like" this vid. It's just a blast!
Unexplainable how happy I am to have found you. Thank you so very much for being so incredible.
Wonderful
Perfect apocalypse soundtrack. Thank you.
Perfection, with all its bits: genius.
Wonderful performance. I will definitely be buying this album to go along with “You Never Were Much of a Dancer”.
Life-changing! Thanks Gwen, staggering stuff
I sort of got here via John Fairhurst. This is such a good listen and I've just bought the vinyl LP version.
flashbacks to awkwardly smoking hash as a teen with my cousins and their sketchy friend in the drive of castell coch, whilst visiting from canada lol.
Such fine playing, Gwenifer. We've booked to see you at Islington Town Hall in May, here's hoping it can go ahead! 🤞
Awesome performance Gwenifer! Thanks for sharing !!!
bloody marvellous
Damn, awesome upload!!!
Love to hear you live
Wow! I'm here! I'm involved! You have my attention!
Surely, Morgana must still be extant, for she hath bewitched me, once again.
Think she'd be an excellent mate to Tom Waits. He has to work with her.

I wonder if she's ever heard the work of John Fahey.
