Thank God for your guys help lol. It looks so much better now than our first couple of tries did. Honestly, we over thought it and we made it way harder than it needed to be. Once they gave us the layout, it all made sense. Thank you guys for the help.

I'm trying to add a waterfall addition into a pond, I just put in the yard. I've been watching a lot of videos to try to get an idea what I wanna do .This has been the best one. I really like the idea. No cinder blocks and just dirt. I really wish I could afford to pay somebody to put it in for me. But I love working in my yard, and I have to at least try.

After years of keeping many fish in many fish tanks in my house, one day I decided I wanted a backyard pond to replace an 18' by 30' above ground pool I recently got rid of. I took a 100' garden hose and marked out the shape I wanted and started digging no measuring except depth as I wanted to put Koi in the pond and had to ensure it wouldn't freeze solid in the winter. I finished digging and then measured what I had done, I went to a local pond store and they told me what I needed for a liner and filtration system and that my pond would hold 3500 gallons of water. I was quite impressed with how well it went being it was my first attempt and I did it with only a vision in my mind. The waterfall for the return water and where my filter had to be concealed was the only real problem as it needed to be better planned and I had to fix it a few times to get it right.

Over thinking is probably where I'm at with mine! I've dug a hole and have a liner for a run off pond but want to do a waterfall feature as well. I've been watching the videos for a couple of years and have found them most informative. One day I'll finish them 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I think you need to do more of these. In the next year or two I have an epic stream to pond build and this video is a great example of what can be done. Side note….I really can’t believe you don’t have a CAC in Columbus. Buckeye’s, great areas, amazing opportunity…I could use a C A C in Columbus.

Awesome video. The way you guys layout your large rocks is the best I've seen so far on UA-cam and I've seen some very nice water features from other UA-camrs! Also, big kudos for the videography and editing/production -- not that I'm an expert. I've just watched a lot of TV lol. But the production quality is as good as anything I've seen on those diy channels.

This was a great video illustrating the difference between DIY and Pro installs. It came out great. I do have a question about winterization....what is involved when temps approach late fall and into winter in areas where freezes can occur? How do you winterize the system?

    I just done 1 at a friends place it's my 1st 1, but
I don't claim to be perfect but at least I'm willing
to try, the area is a 16+ x 18+ ft area we just got
the pond covered for in case it rains a few days
so we still have more to do with it but we have
the setup in place now we have the rest of it to do.

I'm planning to do my pond waterfall and was so looking forward to watching and learning, but the way this has been filmed/edited is dizzying to say the least. It's difficult to concentrate and understand with the camera moving constantly and being sped up then slowed down. Gotta go find one that does what you're doing at a slower, more informative pace. Thanks for trying though!
